Re: Sean Ryan - Decision Time
Ryan should be a starter for the footballers. We have nothing like him at the moment and his explosive speed with the ball would add a badly needed new dimension. A good ball ball carrier like Sean might help us move away from the handpassing tripe that Roe poisoned Offaly football with in the last ...

Re: O'Byrne Cup
Meaningless tournment that should be scrapped. The only games that should be played are National Football League games and Championship matches. After that it should be up to teams to prepare themselves. O'Byrne cup does little more than allow every Tom, Dick, Harry and other Mickey Mouse characters...

Re: Pascal's Goal V Portlaoise
A good goal yes. A "wonder goal" as described on the Rhode website I dont think so. Its what you'd expect of any half decent forward if the ball fell in front of him and the keeper is way out off his line. The problem is that lads see a goal like this and think its the best thing they've e...

I think Rhode +2 on the handicap @ Evens with Paddy Powers is a great bet.

Re: Birr v Ballyboden - Leinster club SHC
Hope I'm wrong but I have a feeling Birr are running out of lives at this stage. This'll be tight tomorrow and I wouldn't be surprised if Birr are beaten.

Re: National Football League DRAFT Fixtures 2009
My first impressions are: What a load of pointless games. All games with the exception of Wexford a complete waste of time. Perhaps Antrim might put up a fight up there. But Kerry........oh my God. However we put ourselves in this mess (and I believe it is a mess) so we have to knuckle down and get ...

Re: Intermediate final
Kilcormac are now gone to junior after Bracknagh beat them last night. Ballyfore hang on for another year at least. Kilcormac gave Ballyfore the points a few weeks back. Why do they bother putting out a team at all if they are going to carry on like that

Re: First indication of football panel for 2009
I've seen Weir play more than anybody else on this site and he has been the best forward in Offaly from 1992 to 2006. Niall Mc has taken that role now and I've no doubt he'll have it for many years to come. Weir remains the 2nd best forward we have. There is currently no other player who can kick po...

Re: New Proposed Airport for Offaly
Tubber to Charles de Gaulle will cost 129Euro one way I believe. Also flights to New York and LA are also being planned from the French capital via Tubber. I for one will no longer be holidaying in Clonmacnoise . This airport will put us on the map no doubt about it!
