Re: Minor Hurling vs Wexford
Minor game this weekend is fixed for tullamore. This is madness, it is nearly a home game for a very strong westmeath team that ran kilkenny to two points. In fact there will probably be more people from westmeath at the match than from Offaly Birr is more than ready to be designated a "County...

Re: Leinster SHC 2011-Dublin v Offaly
James Rigney looks set to miss out on Offaly's entire All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship campaign after suffering an arm injury in training. The Faithful star suffered damage to the same arm which he broke against Cork back in February in the National Hurling League and is set to be sidelined f...

Re: Hurling Striking Styles
While thinking of the various inter-county hurlers and their striking it got me thinking about striking distance and this led onto goalkeepers(mind tends to wander :D ). Interestingly enough, as far as I know, very few inter county goalkeepers that i can think of fall into category 1 from above, whi...

Hurling Striking Styles
With all the debate going on in the Offaly v Dublin topic I decided might as well start a new thread altogether. For clarification (using info in the link POTH posted and from personal knowledge),there are a no. of styles of striking. 1.Right hand on top(RHOT),catch ball in left, predominantly right ...

Re: Leinster SHC 2011-Dublin v Offaly
POTH, I normally enjoy your very informative posts and reports, and you are very accurate with dates, results etc. But some of your stuff lately has been very negative and harsh on certain clubs and individuals. May I ask what is a a right-hand-on-top cackhander'?? Have to say i agree.and lets see ...

Re: U21 hurling championship..
Just heard that St rynaghs are hurling St malachys tomorrow in champ. Intersting to hear that they will have a few Belmont lads and a new Galway import on board. Interesting to hear that. I know the Belmont lads had to hurl somewhere given that lusmagh wanted to plough on along- fair play to them, ...

Re: U21 hurling championship..
And on the point of the lad from Galway, well he has spent every day for the last 3 years, even when he was still playing in Galway, in the hurling field in Banagher. He has friends in there and there is a house in Banagher in which he spends most of his time. Again Rynaghs did not recruit him, he ...
