Agree w this sentiment completely, but the league structure is such that we will only play one of the teams mentioned above if we are in the relegation final at the conclusion of the league. The ‘league’ where you’d typically want to develop is not a ‘step up’ in class, it is a giant leap. A ridiculous system that does not support the development of the game in any way, shape or form.biffinbanner wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 1:48 pm i think before we start thinking about div 1 and surviving there, we have to challenge the teams on the second rung. like antrim westmeath and laois . we seem to have a huge ability in the forwards to put up big scores. but we concede a good bit too. that maybe is where the problems will surface?.

Valid points made by previous posters. Offaly replace relegated Westmeath in Division 1A. It will be a huge jump in standard for Offaly hurlers next year, from division 2A. The players will find out what it is like to compete at the top level. Survival may come down to a relegation decider with the bottom team in division 1B.biffinbanner wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 1:48 pm i think before we start thinking about div 1 and surviving there, we have to challenge the teams on the second rung. like antrim westmeath and laois . we seem to have a huge ability in the forwards to put up big scores. but we concede a good bit too. that maybe is where the problems will surface?.
