Yeah 14 - 7 in Killeigh, a very close run thing, Rhode popped over 5 points in the last 5 minutes, this is shaping up to be some group this year. Are the chasing pack getting closer or are clara/rhode only in second gear?

i think with the long break both clara and rhode will put in the effort and they will be flying come next round.

Paddy Power odds for this weekends games....

(Friday)
Tubber 8/11 vs Erin Rovers 5/4 (Draw 7/1)

(Saturday)
Gracefield 10/11 vs Ballycumber evens (Draw 7/1)
Walsh Island 10/3 vs Clara 1/4 (15/2)

(Sunday)
St Rynaghs 5/4 vs Shamrocks 8/11 (Draw 7/1)
Ferbane 9/2 vs Rhode 1/6 (Draw 9/1)
Edenderry 4/5 vs Tullamore 6/5 (Draw 7/1)

I think Walsh Island & Ferbane are worth putting a few (small) pound on.... While Clara & Rhode are still the two best teams Gracefield have proved Clara are beatable and Erin Rovers & Tullamore ran Rhode very close..

Think Walsh Island are overpriced and il certainly be taking some of the 10/3 thats on Offer. Other prices that stand out are Ferbanes also as they will be on a high after winning the league and will give Rhode a game. Also think Rynaghs should be favourites against a poor shamrocks team
Twice we had the chance, but well get one more

Erin Rovers beating Tubber leaves them on course to qualify despite two tough games left with Ferbane & Tullamore. However Tubber could be in trouble now as their next game is Rhode which I can't see them winning & then Tullamore who could have some players back by then. You could never rule them out either though

Good win for erin rovers last night despite being short 4 of their "marquee" players. Was at it and there's a lot to be said for a bit of grit and determination. Tubber looked home and hosed at half time but the pollagh lads didnt seem to mind and scored 1 - 07 in the second half. Ciaran Mc Manus was well marshalled by declan kelly in midfield, alan lynam scored 2 - 01 for pollagh, and the evergreen pauric carroll & gerard lynam were the stand out players for rovers.
Tubber seemed way of the pace in the second half and bernard allen was unusually quiet, which ultimately led to their downfall as they only scored 3 points in the second half.

any word from the tullamore camp on their line up for tonights match? edenderry 5/6 looks good with tullamore missing 6-7 of their regulars for various reasons, any word if maloney, brazil and williamson will start as has been mentioned?

rynaghs should be well able to beat shamrocks, if they are going as bad as everyone is saying. clara were lucky to get a draw last night as far as i know

The draw with Gracefield leaves Ballys chances on a knife edge, very disappointing result. Clara will also need to improve big time. There clash with Ballycumber will be tasty,Shamrocks look like they are staring relegation in the face after their defeat and Rynaghs are as good as in the quarter finals now.

Edenderry win, wasn't a great game. Tullamore had a goal chance last kick of the game nearly should really have won it. Had so much possesion at times but no target man to kick it into.

edenderry 1-09 tullamore 1-08.wasnt at the game, tullamore must have played most of their junior team with the amount of players they were meant to be missing?? sounds like they put up a good effort

Ferbane got a bit of a pasting v rhode last night but in reality could and should have been a lot closer had they converted 3 clear goal chances in the second half. Tullamore looked the better team for long spells v Edenderry but their young players probably lacked experience near the finish. They seemed to cut edenderry apart at times and created plenty of clear chances that they failed to convert. Edenderrys experience told near the end where they wasted time with players lying on the ground after they took the lead. Some iffy referee calls for and against both teams proved crucial in the end in a game that Tullamore will feel they have left behind. Rhode top the table. Edenderry and Erin Rovers are pretty much through standing on 4 points. ferbane and Tubber on two are still in the shake up with tullamore still propping up the table on 0 points though they will feel encouraged from their latest performance and can still make the quarters if they win their last two games if results go their way.

the other group sees shamrocks in dire straits at the moment with surprise packets Rynaghs almost certain to make the quarters along with Clara and Walsh Island probably making it through with the fourth place up for grabs, with Gracefield looking most likely.
