Re: Offaly Hurling 2020

I hear Martin Dolphin from Portumna has been called into the hurling panel. As offaly are now playing in the 3rd tier of the hurling championship they are allowed 5 players from outside the county, without them getting a transfer to an Offaly club. Not sure if this is a progressive move for the pan...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management 2012

Listen Townman, I'll contribute to this message board anyway I see fit. I'm not a professional journalist getting paid for my contributions so I can pick and choose my opinions and the way I want to relay them. Freedom of speech and all that. Why would I jeopardise good friendships with clubmates I...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management 2012

What management has Ollie Baker on his CV? I don't want to dismiss the man out of hand, but there is a danger of going from just picking former Offaly hurlers because they have medals, to picking a former Clare hurler because he has medals. Has he done anything at club, underage or ideally Fitzgibb...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management 2012

I wouldn’t get too worried lads it’s not going to be Paddy Kirwan, alltheway was on this about 2 weeks ago and said he was appointed and surprise surprise it didnt happen then and it’s not going to happen now, alltheway is either trying to stir sh*t for the laugh or someone is filling him with sh*t,...

Dirty strokes, I remember Stephen Browne pole axing Adrian Clancy in a Senior Semi Final/Final, does that make him and Birr a dirty hurler(s), well the way your talking it does! Barry Whelahan was no angel in his day either was he? Ha, Adrian Clancy???? I think he won a FIFA fair play award one yea...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Club Championship 2011

Belmont v Tullamore: Belmont I think belmont can have a good year this year, they have a better spread of players around the field now and with tullamore starting slow all of the last 3 years i think belmont will nick a win by about 3-4 Kilcormac v Clareen: Kilcormac Clareen will be looking to bounc...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Club Championship 2011

Any reports from Clareen Rynaghs game. The scoreline would suggest it was a cracker between two highly fancied teams? Ya was at the game, not sure it was a cracker but it was a very good game and probably one of the better ones that will be played in the group stages this year. I think Rynaghs dese...
