I have to say that I'm totally in DD's corner on this one, for the reasons that he sets out very clearly. I'm a closet Rovers fan so I might be biassed but I feel very strongly that Thomas Davis and the other Tallaght clubs have behaved disgracefully. In fact I tackled somebody involved with Thomas ...

David Reynolds

I don't think it was understood at the time how much of a loss players like David Reynolds, Ronan Mooney and Barry Malone would be when they headed off to foreign pastures new. David Reynolds had a seriously good season on our Leinster-winning march in 1997. Accurate from frees and very good from ge...

I think that we (Offaly fans) are realising that All-Irelands aren't going to fall into our laps and we're really getting behind the teams.

Tommy Lyons Comments on Ferbane & Clara!!!

I was expecting a lot of comment on this site on Tommy Lyons' Sunday Game description of P.J.Ward's "pedigree" as a mixture of "Ferbane physicality and Clara skills". Even Pat Spillane was apologizing to Ferbane people. I wouldn't have thought that Tony McTague was lacking in ski...

Awesome Support in Portlaoise!!

I have to say I was proud of the support Offaly got yesterday in the Hurling game. Any rally on the field was met with a crescendo of sound from the stand and there were a lot of healthy outbreaks of "Offaly" or "Uibh Fhaili" chanting. Even well into the 2nd half, when the game w...

The 2 high spots for me were the displays at 9 and 14 - Niall Smith may have solved our problem at 2nd midfielder and P.J.Ward looked very comfortable & composed.

A few wins would bring McIntyre up in everyone's estimation, including the players. I'm no hurling expert but I do go to a lot of Offaly matches and Offaly club matches. In my humble opinion McIntyre did exactly the right thing in clearing out the squad in the winter. I've great time for some of the...

David Kenny is the Forgotten Man at the moment!

In the early games he showed a lot of raw promise! The best fielder we have IMO although he struggles to get it away sometimes afterwards. That'll come with a bit of experience!

Underage Hurlers!!

Lads every year I get hopeful about our Under 21s but surely this year we'll have a decent Under 21 Hurling team with so many of them blooded at senior level. Are the following Under 21? - Joe Bergin, Paul Cleary, Michael Verney, Conor Hernon, David Kenny, Eddie Bevans, Shane Dooley, Diarmuid Horan,...

The Offaly play in the 1st half was good to watch. Even in the 2nd half the Faithful were still registering fine scores. The management have done a lot over the winter to improve the team. The young players have improved from game to game - it's encouraging to see players like Conor Hernon, Michael ...
