Re: 1/2 A MILLION DOWN THE DRAIN
The only case of this I experienced was young fellas letting off bangers at a league game in Greacefield one night 10 years ago!

Re: GPA and Cork Hurlers
I personnaly hate that bunch of Cork hurlers. But don't underestimate the importance of the issue here. McCarthy simply cannot back down now if he does it'll show that a few bigheaded players can disrupt the whole system. I'd like to see the new bunch of players get on with things and have a sucessf...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers Review 2008 – Part 1
Hurlers remain our best hope for 2009. In all games in last years championship they demonstrated great backbone (even in the KK game they kept trying hard). The footballers would do well to show that sort of fight. Young Dooley is one of the best forwards in the land and I hope he pushes on and cont...

Re: GPA and Cork Hurlers
Spot on Shark. As far as I'm concerned all those Cork boys are now retired. I've never been a fan of the GPA as I think it has helped situations like the one in Cork manifest out of control. It has given fuel to the superstar notion. Cork need to move on now and push ahead with the new panel. If I w...

Re: Offaly vs Dublin
I've no issue Bord na Mona man with any player who plays for Offaly. Evans to my knowledge is based in Dublin and I've nothing only respect for a chap doing that sort of travelling to train and play games. However handing over my hard earned to watch the same guys who continually show they are not u...

Re: Offaly vs Dublin
By all accounts it'll be a swift reurn to Div 4. I pity McNamee when he gets back because he'll be on his own in that forward line. The selection nonsence has to stop: Reynolds, Deehan and Coughlan are not intercounty footballers. Totally out of there depth at this level and I would consider all 3 t...

Re: St Vincents to enter a senior football team
There must be some regulations in relation to this. If not then whats to stop 2 Junior C football teams combining and entering the senior football championship ??

Re: St Vincents to enter a senior football team
Getting 2 teams to join would be hard. Getting 3 to join together is near impossible. 4 is out of the question. Each teams representitive will be pushing for as many of his own lads as possible on the team. Then when their respective teams lose a junior or intermediate match there will be lads sayin...

St Vincents to enter a senior football team
From Hogan Stand......I think they would be wasting their time. It could affect their individual clubs Junior chances. Any thoughts? Daingean set for senior team 19 December 2008 Four clubs in the Daingean parish are to meet over the coming weeks to discuss the possibility of forming a senior footba...

Re: Rhode V Kilmacud
Perfectly summed up turk. Its very hard to get a team to know how to handle a big unexpected lead. Ideally players should give all they have for the 60mins and the score board shouldn't matter, but it don't work like that. I remember about 10 years ago we played a match in Killeigh and they were win...

Re: Des Dolan Sr to manage shamrocks in 2009
I wouldn't be too worried about the Revenue Commissioners. Asking a GAA manager to submit tax returns would be like asking a prostitute to submit hers.........pointless because they are just going to deny any money ever changed hands in the first place

Re: Des Dolan Sr to manage shamrocks in 2009
I'm not having a go at you Bord Na Mona man but I don't think you've ever had much to do with any GAA club (either player or official wise) if you are under the illusion that dollars ain't changing hands! I think its a disgrace myself and am totally against it. Also you seem to unsure of how people ...

Re: Des Dolan Sr to manage shamrocks in 2009
150 a night isnt alot these days. I'm old school and don't think paying these guys is on at all. Dolan has been round the block donkeys years now, he must have seen it all over and over in his time. Surely he'll bring something to the Samrocks set up but its never a guarantee. Still he'll be averagi...
