Re: Division 4 league final Offaly v Longford
Great win for offaly.thers one thing strikes me as being very unfair.whoever wins the 16th wi llhave to. Go t corker t oface the super dubs with inevitable consequences.surely in fairness the game should have gone to Longford or tulamore?very unfair.either might give the dubs a game at home but dou...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
Townman, It is very easy to castigate all of the County Board and blame all and sundry on it. However, I will remind you that one member of the County board is Andy Gallagher, the ONLY Offalyman to date to have managed Offaly to an All Ireland senior hurling title in 1981 and he is from North Offal...

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary - 2014 All-Ireland SHC qualifier Rou
The legend Martin Hanamy says if we come out with a 10 point defeat we will be happy, i thought maybe 16 point defeat and i be happy, look this is going to be a turkey shoot out nothing more tipp will learn nothing from it, we have fell alot since we hurl them in 2010 in portlaoise , they got some ...

Re: Change of perspective on CB
We have heard all of your criticism; now show your support for our minor football team tomorrow night in Tullamore @7 30. That's a tweet from offaly gaa official Twitter. So they are listening! Bit of a dig at poor support for the team's in that tweet maybe??

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary - 2014 All-Ireland SHC qualifier Rou
Ah lads there is optimism and there is head in the clouds optimism. It's only been 4 weeks since we shipped a 26 point beating and now we are going to give tipp a game. Does anyone actually believe we will have improved enough and that management will have learned enough in that time to get us near ...

Re: CB wouldn't have thought of this
http://www.gaaroscommon.ie/clubrossie What they don't mention is that clubs in the county were told by the county board that they had to sell a certain amount of them, regardless. Nothing like putting a gun to the head of the sellers to get things moving. Are you saying that is a good or a bad thin...

Dont think it was all down to their dual players. You are some man for the Schadenfraude townman! Wouldn't mind having their dual players on the offaly teamtownman wrote:cork duel players were found out big time today.

Re: What are they smoking in Birr?
tell me this we had the two grounds for donkeys years, Birr always was the hurling view, county finals should be held there, tell you with the crowds going to watch hurling in O'Connor park they are not making money i'd say there was about only 80 offaly people at the minor match again laois this y...

Is there something you are hinting at there OF?Offalys Future wrote: the first hurling county final that was played in O'Connor park after the redevelopment had less people at it than the previous year in Birr but the gate was higher in O'Connor park! Maybe that has something to do with it also.

Re: All-Ireland Hurling Qualifiers Round 1 Antrim v Offaly
while a win is a win i tend to agree with above poter who says we were better off with a narrow defeat..whats facing us now? tipp/galway,waterford or clare/wexford will show no mercy...were simply not in that class at the moment sadly I'd rather be preparing for a game in July against these teams t...

Re: All-Ireland Hurling Qualifiers Round 1 Antrim v Offaly
Agree Bula bula...... as far as i am aware, Tullamore is the max width a pitch can be......similar to croker......unsure about length but wouldnt be far off and it is the width that creates the space anyway......Lazy journalism Glad the lads won but in one way, it mightnt be a great thing for Offal...

Re: All-Ireland Hurling Qualifiers Round 1 Antrim v Offaly
Absolutely delighted. Delighted for the players and management who have been under savage pressure. Great fighting spirit to dig out the win in those circumstances and also being behind so close to the end. Looking forward to a report from anyone that made the long trip as I only caught the Sunday g...

Feckin Ger Loughnane! Haven't posted in ages but this man has just annoyed me no end. As others have pointed out the worst thing is that he is actually listened to and his comments carry weight for some mad reason. He also is allowed talk the waffle on RTE and even obvious ridiculous opinions like i...
