Well Tullamore club is the obvious, though Clara and Shamrocks would both be decent teams only around ten minutes away either - they'd be the obvious ones. I don't know who'd be your obvious contact, though if you call into the Brewery Tap pub, owner Paul Bell is still involved in Tullamore club to my knowledge, I'm sure someone there would steer you right if you were so inclined.

And by the way, it wasn't a famous push, it was a famous holding-of-one's-position.... :D

Welcome MJK.

If you play football anything like MFR, you'd be more than welcome in Clara :!:

MJK,
one bit of advice. Wearing black boots in Clara is seen as attention seeking! :P

You would be in a minority on a training field in Clara with black boots on your feet. The rest of the lads would be wearing white, blue, red and even a few yellow pairs for the lads who went to Ard Scoil Chiarain in their youth.

Most of the Clara lads have 3 or 4 pairs of boots. They wear whatever pair currently goes with their highlights, brings out their tans, or doesn't clash with the opposition's jersies.

I think Clara's dressing rooms are the only ones where the mirrors are full length, and they have a sponsorship deal with Vidal Sassoon.
