i dont know what people think of the final be cancelled but i have to agree with kilcormac Killoughey, with guys about to do their leaving cert this game shouldnt go ahead and i am glad it didnt
What annoys me is that Birr are looking to be given the title.
How pathetic is that. go out and win the game on the field. No county final should be decided at a county board meeting.

Title awarded to St. Brendan's. Something tells me that there will be another twist or two in this tale yet.
I'm very much inclined to agree with OF here though - why on earth you would fix something like this for around the Leaving Cert is an absolute mystery. I hope to God sense is seen on this and we do get a county final even if it's likely to be in late July now. I can't imagine any of the Brendan's players wanting it ending this way - and with this county team now having a golden opportunity to reach an All Ireland semi final, there's no logic for potentially sowing the seeds of discord as appears to be happening here.
