The best robots ever were C3PO and R2D2 from Star Wars. One says "We're doomed" a lot, not unlike supporters of the Offaly football team. The other looks like a Nilfisk

Sorry to bring this one back up to the top -

AZ - have you seen the new series of Battlestar Galactica? i got it off the brother there on DVD. The new cylons in it are savage!

Some of them are sexy ladies and go around steaming it up with lads! Hats off to the cylons, they really stepped up to the mark here.

Turk, don't apologise for bringing this up!!! It's the best thread on the board

I haven't seen the new BG, but I'm glad you like the new Cylons.

Cylons rule :)

Here is a pic of the new Cylons, they don't look frightening to me :) ..

Hi folks,

it's been a while since we had a robot, and as the evenings are getting longer (or shorter?) here is Mechagodzilla II from the film Terror of Mechagodzilla

While I'm on a posting roll, there was a robot on Pat Kenny last night (no, not Pat himself).

It's a robot called Da Vinci that can be used to do delicate surgeries. I'd argue it's not really a robot, as there was a lad controlling him, and he wasn't doing the surgery himself:
Here is a link to details on this robot.

They may put footage up on the RTE.ie website of the robot doing some surgery, in which he peeled a grape. There is also footage on popular video sharing websites of this robot doing operations.
