Did anyone think that the Offaly Independent went a little bit over the top by writing an article on the antics of vaughan in the game against rhode last weekend?. i was at both games and i didnt think he was that annoying.

Put it this way, if he carried on against Francy Bellew or Ryan McMenamin like the spoilt little superstar as he did last week, he would end up on top of the stand.

Apart from saluting the crowd when he scored and causing a mini riot in the second half by taking forever to take a free, he hit the ground way too easily when a Rhode player got within a yard of him, or even looked crooked at him. At least if Mr Bellew or Mr McMenamin, to name just two, were to make contact with Blondie he would stay down and not get up.

The worst thing about that free was that it wasn't a free at all! Vaughan was holding the Rhode back off the ball and he managed to get a free for it?
It was a brilliant strike though, one of the few he kicked all day, he had some terribly bad misses.
Other antics included;
lying down and then when the free was awarded, hobbling over like the wounded hero to take it.
On balance he was kept very quiet during the second match, it was McGee and co around the middle that did the real damage.

It was instructive to see that even some of the Kilmacud players were telling him to cop on at one stage during the second half - Johnny Magee had a right go at him after he dived trying to win a free and Cassidy came away with the ball to set up an attack.
