Excellent read there Plain. Great preview. Much better than we'll get from the midland tribune this week although by the time the football rolls around im sure Corrigan will have a four page spread with every fact on the planet thrown together. Well thats enough of the rant. In my humble opinion at ...

So it has come to pass that Offaly's greatest hurler Brian Whelahan has bowed out of the inter county scene after 17 seasons. He will be sorely missed. My first memory of Sid is in the 1992 U21 All-Ireland finals when it seemed to me that it was virtually Waterford vs Brian Whelahan. Even though i w...

I'm inclined towards the view that there is a lot of "faddishness" about this. A big full forward is fine up to a point, but you have to remember that it also ensures that there will never be space in the full forward line because if your corner forward gets out to an early ball, he'll al...

I definitley agree with you LS that our biggest problem is the fact that we cant seem to retain possession in our forwards to give our backs some breathing space. They are always under savage pressure. With regards Fergal Kealey he isnt county standard and has lost a lot of form this year while his ...

As you said the lad just wont win 50/50 ball. Leinster Final 2004 he wouldn't even put up his hand to catch a ball. He's a sweet tidy hu...

Nice 1. didnt enter as thought it would be too late. Must try and make a cup run so!!
