Re: Lets start playing the club championships again
Could be argued that that's a good thing for the clubs actually, say for example you have a guy in college, he needs to find work for the summer and can't BOTCEC, (Because of the current economic climate, I'm saying it so much it needs an anogram! :P) This way he gets in the first 2 group games, hea...

Re: Lets start playing the club championships again
The whole idea of the master fixture list was that the club players were compensated for the fact that they were being held up by the inter-county with the fact that they knew exactly when they were going to play. This allowed them gear their training correctly, play out the league and book holidays...

Re: Man in Offaly jersey
I'll just throw it out there and say it would be well deserved if the county board awarded him with a season ticket and even a bit of decent Offaly gear like a fleece and a rain jacket. It would be a small gesture for his huge loyalty to not only his county but to our countries great games. Now tha...

Re: Offaly v Dublin Tickets
Ya as I thought, all the talk of tickets got me panicky. I know it wouldn't be like the GAA to have their fixtures published wrong but I thought I'd double check anyway....where's my sarcasim button???

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
County board have given Shamrocks 2 championship games in 3 days as well to really bury the boot into them. Coolderry on Sunday and Walsh Island on Tuesday. Really ridiculous. Just not possible for any dual club and especially this one pulling the bare 15 together This craic of mid-week Championshi...

Re: Tone of debate declining?
Agreed, to be honest, I've started to drift away from the site because it's getting too hard to sift through the shite. I was debating putting up a poll to see who thought a boards.ie type moderating scenario would work here where you had to register with a valid e-mail address and could get bans an...

http://www.votomatic.ie/Home.aspx Turns out I'm a die hard Labour supporter?? In any case for those of you who cared or who claimed I was a die hard FF man I'll actually be voting FG in this election. Their policies on finance seem to make most sense, I was impressed with Michael Noonan when I hear...

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach
The man from Ferbane does appear to have a political affiliation though. Nope, I'm unashamedly a fan of Brian Cowen even though I don't claim to be perfect but on another thread I actually said that the party system should be dismantled, with a view of having and Economics person in charge of the e...
