Re: Offaly hurling manager??
Just shows how pissed of kelly was with offaly set up. Players too hard to deal with. Don't know what he is thinking going to laois. Just as difficult to handle and less quality players. Mad stuff to be honest.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
For the second in a row the offaly champions have been will beat in the leinster championship. Shows what Senior county mgt have to work with. Offaly hurling is on a par with laois and westmeath. No more no less.. See the offaly intermediate champion s lost to the meath champions.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
Just wondering, why do the offaly intermediate club champions hurl Junior leinster? Very unfair I feel on out and out Junior teams. Clodiagh gaels are playing Rathoath and from my experience playing Rathoath this could be a massive win for Clodiagh gaels. Last year was the same with lusmagh beating ...

Re: Why do we not have a senior hurling manager appointed?
Pure speculation on my behalf. But with recent steppung down of a club manager in offaly, I get the feeling that offaly mgt next year will have a very distinct western feel to it.

Maybe they can't get anyone to take it. I'd love to know the real reasons E Kelly left.

Re: New Offaly Management/Panel Members for 2017
Davy is ultra professional. No room for lads who don't toe the line. Sean Ryan said that the most professional set up he has been in was the 2016 one under kelly. Its Davy way or no way. Be a very interesting watch though!!

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
Birr is a good venue at the moment and the crowd last week was large enough. Long queues to get in though. Only 4 turnstiles were open. Also for elderly people you have a bit of a walk to the stand. In the winter months staying dry watching matches is paramount for spectators. I would love the semi ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
Not alone did Tipperary contest the all Ireland semi this year, they also are the current munster club champions with commercials winning in 2015. They have won and lost minor all irelands , and contested an u21 all ireland. A small county like offaly should have a far tighter championship timetable...

Re: Hurling Plan, Whats the story?
It's good that a director of hurling has been appointed. That person does not need to be a hands on coaching. He needs to direct all the people who do the coaching and oversee the work. He himself should not be taking sessions or doing workshops. He should be making sure clubs are are doing the work...

Re: Offaly v Dublin Leinster under21 final, Weds 6th July
Final score 2 15 to 1 10 in favour of Dublin Poor game. Dublin took over in 2nd half scoring 2 11 to 4 points. One thing, offaly really put in a real shift in the first half but like the minors vs wexford completely ran out of steam. Dublin very powerful for the hour. Something offaly teams are goin...

Re: Offaly vs Wexford 2016 Hurling Qualifier - Saturday July
Both teams very poor. Wexford should have won by more. Faster and a lot more skillful than offaly. Officials fair bad with wexford peno. Under 21s up next. Cannot see a offaly win but you never know.
Dublin by 5 + points.
Dublin by 5 + points.

Re: MAYBE THERE IS HOPE FOR OFFALY HURLING
It is an a really good indication of the potential within the county. You have to have a pretty good set of players to win this type of competition.
