Am I wrong in thinking Brian Carroll scored a point on the run straight off the hurl with his right side against Kilkenny or Laois a few years ago in Portlaoise?I m delighted to see that someone else sees how one sided Brian carroll is for a county hurler!

Re: offaly footballers of the year???
I actually disagree with this logic. Seán Ryan plays for Birr, usually either at midfield or centre forward. He's the main source of scores in the sense that he creates more than any other player, so at intermediate level, he ends up marking a really good footballer every time because opposing team...

Re: offaly footballers of the year???
Most county teams now have 6 footers on half back and half forward lines. Throwaway statements like that really are lazy and just create this ridiculous notion in people's minds that all inter-county players must be 6 foot plus with the build of a rugby wing forward. The 3 best half forwards of the...

Re: offaly footballers of the year???
Dooley is still better than Mulhall. I don't remember him doing much against Tullamore? He got a goal when the game was nearly over, that's all I really recall. Could someone please highlight one other senior club, college, u-21 or senior inter-county game he has played well in? As regards players o...

Re: offaly footballers of the year???
Lads I take serious issue with people rating Willie Mulhall above Shane Dooley as a footballer. Whatever about McNamee or Deehan but Mulhall? That's a joke. What has he ever done? He cant even make the DCU team.

Re: Bad day for offaly hurling
This result yesterday just proves to me that Tullamore handed Coolderry a county title without testing their metal in the slightest. Now i'm not begrudging Coolderry their title but why didn't Tullamore make them work for it a bit more. Shane Dooley should have started the match either on Joe Brady ...

Dual Clubs
A lot of dual clubs seem to be struggling this year with the amount of games they have to play. I must admit I like the two groups of six as I think the more games teams get the better. However it is hard on the dual club - take Ferbane/Belmont for example - They got beaten last Friday evening by Bi...

Re: County senior football championship
This is Kerry's team for Sunday, missing Paul Galvin of Finuge. I've put the grading of their clubs for the club championship (not the county championship) beside their name. Could someone please explain how it is that they run the championhsips in Kerry? For example, what is the difference between...

Remember what happened the last time we appointed a manager who had a good track record with the Wexford footballers!!I'd like to see Jason Ryan over Offaly next year.

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary SHC Qualifier Phase 3 17/07/2010
Kinnityman I think that would be Offaly's best team too. Hanniffy is a good centre back in my opinion but he's more useful to Offaly at midfield. He's better than either Shane McGrath or Brendan Maher and we need the likes of him taking the game to Tipp. Himself and Murphy also form an effective par...
