Is there anything in the rules about a player being sent off in two consecutive games?

Pretty sure there isn't I think yellows are just yellows, it doens't make any difference. Wouldn't swear to it though - this is usually where Treasurer steps up to the plate ..... :)

I believe he was told after the match that he might face a two week suspension finishing on Saturday night July 15th.

Two yellows

Two yellows within 48 weeks of each other entail a two week suspension, but pretty certain it ends at midnight on the Saturday.

do the rules not state that with a suspension you have to miss a match. even if there isn't one in the suspension period?

What would Brady's chances be if he appealed the 2nd yellow card from Sunday?
He instinctively protected his midriff from a Wexford player who had fallen over and was careering into him.

Miss a Match

Missing a match doesn't apply to double yellows.

Even moreso than before, this sending off seemed extremely harsh and it never looked like he did anything more than "stand his ground" as a player charged/fell into him.

Maybe the ref will mark it lightly in his report when he realises what he let Forde away with.

in fairness it was a disgrace for Scott to be Sent off when Forde played the full 70 minutes for an assault that, had he done it outside croke park he'd be in court for.

Brady was unlucky to be sent off. Hopefully there will be an appeal against the second yellow. Yesterday's ref had a bad day

Can you appeal a yellow card in the GAA? Because essentially that's what we'd be doing.

Obviously enough it was not warranted - it wasn't even a foul, but that's neither here nor there - is there anywhere to go with this?

Sorry! I meant to say red card, not yellow. It's a Monday....

Kildare perhaps ? They must know where to go and where not to go after their clowning around, and this is a genuine cause

It is true that the Wexford player did tumble into Scott Brady who merely stood where he was and I dont think that is even a foul let alone a carding. However if you look closely at the tv replays, Scotts right hand does move towards the Wexford players head as he falls. You cant see if there was any contact on tv but I think the ref was standing directly to the right of the event and may have seen or thought he saw something more than a tumble. It would be interesting to know exactly what the card was issued for.
