Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
He goes with good teams, not just any team. He ain't going back to u14s or 16s that's for sure. He was got in to win somthing with a very good team. It was viewed at the time of his appointment that no one within offaly was up to the task.

Howld on! What part of "Obviously I'm appointed for a three year term with the U20s. I'm officially Offaly U20 hurling manager next year." do ye not understand?
There's nothing to get excited about here.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

I hope you are right POTH. The word "officially" just jumped out at me (why use it?),....I'm probably reading too much into it, no correction I am!Plain of the Herbs wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 10:33 pm Howld on! Fingers crossed the dreaded "family and work commitments" curse doesn't come into the picture anytime in the next 5 months. I'm still thinking of Eamonn Kelly and his harrowing tale of "personal and business demands" only to appear with Laois a few weeks later. The less said about the bould Eamonn the better.

Getting excited about nothing really in fairness I think...
He only told the truth. Can't be making public assumptions/declarations about ascending to the senior job in Offaly when there is a man in situ.
Someone asked why didn't he stay with the minor age? He stayed with the group that Offaly had in mind when hiring him. And we've won 2 Leinster U20s and an All Ireland with 8 players from those 2 teams playing in the McDonagh final. Some people would complain about anything!

Because some people think 2022 was his first year with Offaly.
