Pretty sure the junior B would be Birr to lose going by the results this year.

Kilcormac's interest in Junior B was ended by Gracefield last Sunday. So the Grand Slam aspirations are over for this year.

And no, the same teams opposing each other in championship finals in three adult grades has never happened here.
TerraceTalk wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2023 2:19 pm Are KK still in the junior B? If so, there’s a fair chance chance of K/K v Ballinamere in the finals of Senior, Junior A and Junior B. That would be quite something. Surely a first in Offaly and maybe even across the country? POTH might have some insight on the Offaly side of things so I’ll defer to him!!

Ballinamere & Gracefield will have something to say about that !! Both have been putting up big scores but Birr look the strongest so far. Saying that I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ballinamere doing the Junior double !!

Would imagine that the likes of Kilcormac and Brosna Gaels will be a lot stronger now for similar reasons. KK will have a good few lads with senior championship medals who played Junior B who might be called into Junior A team for semi final. Likewise Brosna Gaels will have picked up a good few lads from Erin Rovers, Tubber and Ballycumber who prioritised football earlier in year but have thrown in lot with hurlers now that their football teams are all out of championship. Ballinamere certainly will not have it their own way like people are suggesting if these teams have anything to say about it.

Semi finals this weekend

Thursday
Ballinamere vs Clodiagh Gaels. Fixed for Ballinamere which is strange for a team to have home advantage.

Saturday
Brosna Gaels vs Kk in Mucklagh.

VERDICT
Ballinamere & Kk to win

In Junior B on Friday Ballinamere vs Gracefield in Tubber.
On Saturday Belmont vs Birr in Banagher

VERDICT
Gracefield & Birr to win

K/K have massive talent in their first 2 teams and are favourites to win those championships.

But they have an average Junior A team. If Brosna Gaels have anything about them they should win this.

Not strange for ballinamere to get home advantage given some of the fixtures made already this year to suit the county chairman's home club.

Agree with you 100% not.

Out of the four senior matches played two games in birr against coolderrry and shinrone, clareen in the faithful fields and Belmont in tullamore really shows they had an advantage. Don’t forget durrow played a senior football game on a Monday night after a postponement too.

To get to birr would be approx 35-40 mins drive so clearly playing there would be a big advantage.

So if the original Sunday fixture is only changed because of a request from Clodiagh Gaels to move the game and facilitated for them by co board, and home venue then given to Ballinamere, based on toss of coin and fact they have lights to facilitate mid week fixture, then that is due to ML Duignan also - who's home club is actually St Rynaghs.

My God, some people talk some absolute rot on here.

The chairman's club is basically ballinamere. Everyone knows that.

Ballinamere and Gracefield junior b semi final on tonight in Gracefield. Typical of duignan looking after his own club.

Gracefield hurled well, great to see them get to a final and driving it on.

Brosna Gaels hold off a Kk fight back to win by a point and book their place in the Junior A final.
FT score Brosna Gaels 1-15 Kk 3-08

Some good hurlers on that Brosna Gaels team. Panda Allen named at midfield, think he was absent for a few years. Nice hurler and will have a great engine at that level. They’ll fancy themselves to go straight back up now.
