Townman, the actual score was Wateford 2-24-Offaly 1-22.
The blanks are.
No 3 David Kenny No 4 Chris Mc Donald. Hope I'm right as an Offaly mentor gave the team to a reporter from Waterford, who was at the game.
For a challenge game it was fairly tough at time, The referee was busy, and issued a few yellows. Wateford's number 7 caught an Offaly player with a high pull in the second half.
Offaly's scoring rate died off a bit in the second half, compared to Waterford, maybe that's due to the subs introduced.

Another horrendous scoreline against us. I firmly believ the problem lies more with the workrate and tackling of our forwards and midfield more so than our defence. Consistently teams get shots away against us from out the field , or can pick their passes out.

These challenge matches are a bit like basketball matches in terms of scoring. The teams taking turns to score and the loser being the one who misses when it's their turn to reply.

Hurling has gone that way a little bit though. The light sliotar and the increased power of players means every player is expected to take a pop at the posts once they get space inside the 65.
All that said, Offaly have been conceding 20+ scores in big games regularly now and it needs curbing.
