Explosive stuff from Dunne!
4/9, I wouldn't touch.
Somewhere between 4/6 and 5/6 would be more reflective.

That's a decent looking 15. I wouldn't expect them to start exactly in those positions, so I'll worry about placement when I see them on Saturday evening.

As last week showed with Tipp, GAA managers are only now getting used to using their subs properly, so hopefully there is a good tactic for utilising the bench.

Any word on the subs?

A very strong 15 selected for action. The positioning and switching of them during the game could be crucial.
I can see a few obvious ones in the forward line which will happen as a matter of routine.

How the backline copes and how any problems are dealt with might be the winning and losing of it.
The Wexford team will be named in the morning.

By process of elimination, the subs would be Eoin Kelly, Paul Cleary, Barry Harding, Conor Hernon, Seán Ryan, Seán Coughlan, Chris McDonald, Stephen Wynne, Derek Molloy, Tom Carroll, Dermot Mooney, Ger Healion and Éanna Murphy.

By the way, that team is confirmed on the Offaly GAA site now.
Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

i wouldn't be that worried its alot stronger midfield than what was playing in the league, Mahon is fit and will run all day
he is hardy buck to, Kevin Brady is hurling well great strike of a ball and can score from far out i like the look of this
side if they all hurl well.

we also have a good bench with Sean Ryan, Barry Harding, Chris McDonald, Ger Heilion, to come on and have a say in things
like tipp last sunday its whats on the bench can turn a game to.

not a bad looking team named, all the backs are all very good hurlers. haniffy has being out of action for a while but its great to see him back he should hold the back line together.id like to see morkan at half back but rigney struggled at corner back the last day so i can see why he has moved out and he hurls better at half back to. mahon and brady for me are the best we have for midfield , mahon as someone said before will run all day and the two boys are well capable of holding midfield for most of the game. i can see parlon switching with joe bergin as the game goes on if we are not on top, glad to see egan get a chance at centre forward . joe bergin needs a big game for us if we are to win as he is our best forward on his day and dooley needs to get stuck in from the get go. we need to get behind them now in o connor park , a big crowd ,perfect pitch no excuses ,supporters and the team need to pull together and stand up for offaly hurling and get us back as a major force in leinster again. il go for offaly 2-17 wexford 1-16. i think throw in is 7PM.

I was just reading the views of some of the Wexford fans at the time of 2009 encounter.
They also put a lot of significance into Wexford needing to set down a strong physical marker to Offaly.

Definitely worth reading this page and the next one:
