I wonder has any other company come to the county board looking to sponsor the team? Has the county board ever looked beyond Carrolls?

Perhaps the fact that Offaly hasn't done so well in either code means they're not going to get the big money.

I'm all for tradition and I'd like to see the jersey looking as well as possible seeing as hopefully I'll be spending a good chunk of the summer wearing it, but honestly I can't believe that anyone in their right mind would have run the risk of piddling off a sponsor in the current economic climate over the colour of their logo. By all means we can ask, and I'm pretty sure that the committee in question did express their preference for black lettering, but if the sponsor is insistent, then saying no is a big bluff and one which you can't risk being called. To do so would have been brinkmanship of the highest order.

If Kilkenny are happy to have the red Avonmore logo on their jersey, we should have no bother with Carroll Cuisine doing the same.

As for people comparing us with Tyrone - try like with like and you'll see that Carrolls come out very fair. Comparing us with Tyrone right now - sad and all as it is to say, you might as well be comparing the sponsorship deals of Chelsea and Charlton. We don't live in the same stratosphere as them, exposure wise.

I haven't seen the new jersey yet but I could see the logo looking well on the shirt. As an aside, I'd like to see better merchandise - nicer polo shirts/t-shirts/jackets. That kind of thing.

Hmmm. Can't say I'm mad about it. I thought the Carroll's logo would be a bit more tastefully done. The whole package is too busy for my liking. Too many stripes/logos

An improvement but could have been better. O'Neills as per usual don't do simple - as said above, too many things going on.. And yeah the Carrolls's logo looks shit too..

Nevermind, the young lad is getting it from Santy whether he likes it or not :D

I think O'Neills always overdo the stripes and add ons.
The front looks very busy with the sponsors' logo, O'Neills logo, GAA crest, player number and Offaly crest. All a bit cramped together.
The 3 stripes on the sleeve doesn't really work with the yellow and white imposed on the green.
It works fine for counties with only 2 colours.
Why not have plain sleeves?

Remember Offaly won the right to wear the national colours years ago.
We should try and keep the jersey tasteful at all times and avoid turning into a colour collage that you'd see at a Hawaian beach party!

I'd give it a 7/10, I'd love to have seen one similar to the Mayo design but this is miles ahead of the previous one.
unsure about the red logo though?!!

Very nice. I'll definitely buy it. I presume there'll be a new white jersey and jackets also?
