As i can see from that is James Dempsey is the only player who played senior championship last season. Is the tide turning in Offaly hurling? Is it time to see all these new names? I believe Brian Watkins is leaving the county panel to work in Dublin. Anyone else hear this?

Dermot Mooney also in there from last year, but as you would expect from such a game lots of lads getting a chance.

it looks like that abit alright Uibhfhaili, but the likes of Sean Ryan and Currams have been in other squads and don't seem to make it, this must be Ryans 3rd or 4th time to be called back into the squad, Connor Mahon is a good footballer i remember him playing a stormer again meath in tullamore in the under 21 a few years ago in midfield.

whats Colin Egan like with the big ball never seen the lad play, but he has the size and could well play apart, Dooley also has the making of a good footballer if he puts his mind to it.

with Sid coming in maybe there will be a clean out in the hurling squad, Dooley would have to be on the first 15 in hurling anyway, but the rest Sean Ryan, Currams, Mahon, have been knocking around the offaly squad for the last 5 years or more and haven't nail down a poistion on the team, it might open the door for some young players to get a chance for championship hurling.

Happy New Years.
I think this year will be a great year for Offaly Hurling.
The best Hurlers in the county are being invited on the panel for the first time in years.
Get your jersey and flags ready. 2014 is going to be offaly year.
