A ROVER I HAVE BEEN, AND ...

cough ... ahem ... Sorry, I was a bit overcome with emotion there!

LS and BnMm are spot on. I always consider it remarkable that we are the only county with a well-known Acronym (two if you count BUFFALO as well) for a nickname. You can keep your Jackeens, your Rebels, your Royals, etc. We're the BIFFO's and proud of it. Anyone who calls me a "Bogman" may not appreciate the satisfaction that I derive from that term.

We can manage to win All-Irelands in both codes, and that's in my own living memory and without having big numbers of clubs to call on.

The only time many people are in Offaly is when they pass through Horseleap or Moneygall. You almost have to be going TO Offaly in order to find yourself IN Offaly. We are a destination, not an interval act; and dont let anyone make you think otherwise.
Peter Parker: I missed the part where that's MY problem.

Kudos.
A stirrin' article if ever I read one.
It does state a number of unique traits which BIFFOs possess.
Rivalries with despised neighbours always brings the inner passions out,and this Saturday evening in Tellamore I expect a heated and incident-ridden encounter.
The Uibh Fhaili.co manifesto needs some addressing at this point...say fly the flags on Terrace at the 70' or thereabouts?
There's a real sense of unassuredness at the moment, but I think if we create a rousing atmosphere then victory shall follow,no?
Allez.

I think we have been too easily outcheered and outshouted in the last few years by practically everyone.
Offaly teams take the field to barely a murmour and a sprinkling of applause from the crowd these days.
The last couple of visits of Westmeath to Tullamore and most of the noise has come from Westmeath schoolchildren in the stand.

We need Offaly people to get behind our lads, not stand there with their arms folded, muttering to themselves or making the odd wisecrack.
Use your lungs, make fcuking noise - Don't be a dryshite. This is our ground and we need to make it hostile for the opposition.
We expect our players to get stuck in, so we in the crowd should do the same.
We'll try and get a good group of Offaly fans in the middle of terrace. Got a bit of chorus going.
