Offaly Hurling Greats - Wikipedia
I was browsing Wikipedia and saw Sid's name as one of the hurling greats. This got me to thinking that this site is the perfect forum to pay due respect to Offaly greats of the past and preserve their memory using the great online encylopedia.
So follow the link and go to town on it.

I searched for Johnny Pilkington and there is no link for him yet.

Re: Offaly Hurling Greats - Wikipedia
We should make a bit more effort to get the Offaly GAA and player entries broadened out a bit.ballymanabroad wrote:I was browsing Wikipedia and saw Sid's name as one of the hurling greats. We could always draft up some articles with a bit of group discussion on this site.

OK,
Let's designate some letters. I'd like to have the draft information complete by the end of next week.
Bord na Mona Man you take P-R ie, the Pilkingtons, Regan, Rigney.
Rynaghs Biffo, can you take S-T, which will be the Troys.
We'll see how the lads get on with these and we can designate more tasks after that.

That's it Turk.turk wrote:Enough of your insolence! look how Bord na Mona man has accepted the challenge with a vigour and relish shown by the great Offaly teams down the years!
Keep the young fellas in check.
My research on Daithi Regan has already revealed that both he and Andy Comerford hurled for the same club in London.
Comerford's assault on him in 1999 might have had more to it than we first thought!
