Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Am I right in saying it’s either Fermanagh or Wicklow as we can’t get Down again as to avoid repeat pairings where possible?

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
I'm writing this at Dublin airport on the way to Gibraltar
For my aunts birthday
Great win we should have scored goals in the first 10 minutes
I suppose the double jepordy occurs next weekend
Come on Offaly

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Positive performance, great win against a team that came to play.
Our backs were tight, tenacious and tackled well. Our midfield won the battle, with Higgins and Leavy giving great help under the breaks and in the air at times. Delighted for Bryant who has pucks of ability.
This team and panel are quite obviously playing for the management team. They have a fit squad, barring long term injuries to Flynn, dunican and furlong. No player bigger than the jersey or squad.team is number 1. End of story.
Support them, get behind them, back them.

Great win yday.
Any updates on Flynn, Furlong or Dunican?
I thought they would be expected back by now.
Are they still out/still with panel/focussing on being ready for clubs?

As you said Kevin, delighted to see you proven wrong on the result/handicap yesterday.Lone Shark wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 11:23 am All that said, we are absolutely not 1/2 favourites for this game. 4/5, at a push. I wouldn't back against Offaly since I'd take no joy in collecting any money won and I'd feel twice as bad about losing money that way, but there are three obvious bets for me this weekend, and Wexford plus on the handicap is one of them.
For what it's worth the others are Dublin minus four against a dishevelled Cavan team riddled with injuries, and Roscommon to lead Monaghan at half-time. At this stage Monaghan are even leaning into their thing of being a second half-team, to the point that last time out against Mayo, they won the toss and opted to go into the wind.
In a great interview with Tommy Rooney after Monaghan’s win over Roscommon, manager Gabriel Bannigan said that they won the toss and decided to play with the wind as he had got too predictable - is he reading this forum?
I wonder will the Cavan lads have your remaining prediction on the dressing room wall before today’s match against Dublin

They butchered Flynn's operation. We won't be seeing him unfortunately.faithfulfanatic wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 9:57 am Great win yday.

Won't be seeing the other 2 either, although they could feature for their clubs later on.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Delighted to be wrong myself - and I was completely wrong, in the sense that Offaly were full value for the win and deserved to be at least five points ahead at the end, by all accounts. Sometimes you can have matches and you'd say afterwards that the price assessment was correct, but Offaly won like 1/4 shots rather than 4/5.faithfulfanatic wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 10:01 amAs you said Kevin, delighted to see you proven wrong on the result/handicap yesterday.Lone Shark wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 11:23 am All that said, we are absolutely not 1/2 favourites for this game. 4/5, at a push. And I was there in Clones, and in that interview - he also said when explaining why he made that choice, "I don't like to be predictable!", I'll admit I smiled a bit when he said it!
And no, I still think Dublin will win at their ease!
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Great draw.
And Fermanagh will give Down lots of it

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
During the first half on Saturday, I wondered how could we be 8 points behind even though we seemed to have dominated a lot the play. That’s what 2-pointers can do to a game.
But we finished the half strong and then hit the gas properly in the second. Great performance and effort from all involved.
I’m happier facing Wicklow than the alternative. We’re nearly there. Should be a very happy Panel in Training this week.

Peter Parker: I missed the part where that's MY problem.
