That’s a disgrace.

Committing to a venue months in advance, other than Croke Park, without knowing who will contest the final is rather foolish to say the least. An U20 final between Cork v Kilkenny for example May attract 5,000 people (max), whereas, any game involving this Offaly group will attract upwards of 20,000.

Considering that we brought over 19/20,000 ro Portlaoise, midweek for a Leinster Final, you can only imagine we’d be in a position to sell out Nowlan Park at 27,000 on our own. Add to that Tipperary hurling is in a bit of a decline at senior level and quickly the significance of this final for them takes on greater meaning.

Demand for this game, could conceivably reach up to 40,000, in which case, 13,000 could be denied the chance to watch their side play in an All Ireland final. Something which would be a travesty for both counties.

The Tipp GAA post about tickets from Saturday says they are waiting for official word from Croke Park on tickets.

Offaly had a puck around in Nowlan Park before and after the KK Wex game yesterday so you’d imagine it won’t be moved.
Although the pitch looks in terrible state.

Maybe the puck around shed some light on the standard of the playing surface…

I’d say zero chance of it being moved at this stage.

Regards crowd. Offaly brought circa 15000 to portlaois - I’d say max 20k would cover us for the final and leaves 7k for Tipp.

Hopefully everyone gets sorted. The only thing that will annoy people is if they have to pay full price for kids/u16.

My bad - thought it was 27. So 4k for the Tipp crowd. (Btw I’m married to a Tipp lady!!)

Can you point us in the direction of where you got that 24,000 figure from?

Offaly GAA tweeted over the weekend that NP has a capacity of 28,000.

After watching the Leinster and Munster finals;

I reckon Offaly should have the beating of Tipperary in the half back line & half forward line. Corks 10/12 dominated the game v Tipp.
Tipps strongest line is no doubt there inside forward line McCarthy/Foley and Butler are all lively and will need close attention.

Don't see Tipp with a corner back to do a man marking job on Screeney?

Would also like to see Offaly test Horgan on a high ball or 2. He seems very one sided too.

Adult Ticket €25

Student/OAP €20

U16 €5

I really hope this is assigned seating. As with General Admission it's farcical the amount of seats "reserved" by jackets. It's worse than the Germans, their towels and their sunbeds.

‘Saturday evening's final will be a fully reserved fixture’ - I wouldn’t think that as assigned seating. I’d say it’s more like it’s an All Ticket game.

Note from the seating plan issued online elsewhere, row A is at the back of the stand and not at the front. Something I recall from 2003's Leinster semi-final, probably the last time they had reserved seating at the venue.
