"If every one of us in county could find a way to up our contribution in whatever avenue possible we'd see improvements".

It's a simple message but one that each of us would do well to remember!!

Sympathies to the Lowry family on the sad passing of Jimmy. May he rest in peace.
Not as high profile as the other lads from the playing point of view but done a couple of stints as chairman of the club. Not an easy task.

Fair dues to Shane on turning in a fine display in the Honda classic at what would be a difficult time for him.

Lowry is going well at the halfway mark of the Open. A hiccup on the 11th but he recovered well.
I'd expect yer man Daniel Brown to fall away when he remembers he's Daniel Brown.
Sheffler looks like the lad most likely to trouble Shane on the final two days.

I really enjoyed The Da Vinci Code though. And Angels and Demons for that matter.

Shane was hardly too impressed with the rig out for the Olympics, can imagine him taking it out of the packaging and .....

"Ah for f..k sake! Ya want me to wear this?"

Terrible outfit but the county patches are a nice touch alright.

The outfits looked like a 70’s glam rock outfit.

Quite a story. Three significant things happened on the same week in 1994, Definitely Maybe was released, the ceasefire was announced in the North, and then Offaly won the All-Ireland on the Sunday.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

"Offaly's hurling is exact and abrasive: full of assurance on the ball, devoid of fumbling and slicing and sod-busting". Kevin Cashman RIP (September 1994).
