Re: Club Hurling Managers 2023
Liam Dunphy (Killavilla) would be an out and out manager while James McGrath (Toomevara) would be the hurling coach.
They have been on the circuit together for around 8 years now. They were manager and coach of the Offaly U21 team that lost the Leinster Final to Dublin 2-15 to 1-10 in 2016.
To the best of my recollection they front loaded that team with all the big hitters in the FF line and plans were scuppered pre-final due to an injury to Cillian Kiely.
A caveat though was Offaly avoided Kilkenny, Wexford and Dublin on their side of the draw.
But back to the point - I rate that as a really really solid appointment and would now place St Rynaghs as pre championship favourites.

Assuming Hughes, O'Connor, Dolan and a Treacy stay around for the season then I'd agree. If not I don't think they have the strength in depth to do it.
