I think they dropped from senior after the 2009 campaign, not 2007.Plain of the Herbs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 6:28 pm Yes, Seir Kieran were Senior winners in 1995, so that was quite the year for small rural clubs all ‘round.
And yes, Ballyskenagh were Senior from 1996 through to 2007, during which time they were Senior finalists in 2003 and semi-finalists in 1999. Before that, they won Junior in 1961 and remained Senior until 1974 when they regraded to Junior. They won the Intermediate in 1979 and spent two years at Senior, before regrading.allstar2010 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 2:15 pm Thank you POTH for that. Wow, only 3 times in 40years. That’s interesting. Did Clareen win the senior ‘95? So Ballyskenagh were senior from 1996 and if memory serves me right they got to a senior final in 2003?

I think they dropped from Senior after the 2007 campaign, rebounded with an Intermediate final win over Birr in 2008 before bowing out of the Senior grade after 2009.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

I see adrian clancy has left his role as GDA
Any idea if he’s being replaced or what role he’s take up elsewhere?

Adrian clancy has taken up a role as a GDA. He's left his role as a club GPO, "Games promotion officer". Can't see that role being filled before Christmas

That's a serious hammering for Shinrone by Naas.

No shame in losing to Naas. They are the intermediate all ireland champions. The margin of defeat is the worrying thing. Anyone who has been following naas would know they are a very good team with a virtually all intercounty squad.

That is some scutching to take alright.
Thank god there’s a performance coach in, that’ll cure the ills on display.
Its counselling, not coaching, we’re likely to need if this is the best we have to offer Leinster hurling.

It happens, remember Rynaghs getting trounced by laois county champions, then by wexfords.
Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
Did they not draw with Ballyhale only losing in extra time.

The Mcdonagh Cup next year is stronger than last year's with Laois and Kildare now Mc Donagh teams..pigeon house biffo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 6:33 pm That is some scutching to take alright.

They did, against a 14 man ballyhale. Rynaghs had that game won. Talking about previous years. Think it was in ken hogan's first year they got whipped by Rathdowney, under forde they got hammered by oulart. Coolderry got bet by Raharney in 2011? Naas are good but by all accounts the match was of poor/low quality. Shinrone really failed to perform and I doubt they'll get a second chance next year.

Naas are very good and are also producing some really class players. It was always going to be a challenge for Shinrone but such a wide margin is a surprise.
Are Shinrone happy enough with a single county title?
