I feel in regards to bringn new players on the 21 panel it wud help of the 21 championship was ran in August/ September to allow the management time to assess who they want. I know it's off the point but it could be beneficial to Offaly football

Couldnt agree more about the u21 chamionship. Doesn't make sense that the club u 21 football championship is played at the same time as the Sigerson, the u 21 Leinster championship and the National league. The best young players in the county will be involved with 4 different teams . We have no control over national fixtures but surely tge club championship should be put off till after the senior championship like in most counties! Also there are plenty of young Players in the county who have no football after June if their clubs are out of the championship by then which can happen. No wonder we lose players to soccer, rugby and other sports.

1. A Mulhall:walsh island (safe and reliable)
2. B Darby:rhode (experienced and tough)
3. J Maloney:tullamore (young, talented and has to be given the chance)
4. S Pender:edenderry (very tight marker and very consistent)
5. M Mitchell:clara (good on the ball going forward and distripution)
6. C Kiely:gracefield (solid player and could be a his position with his physical presence)
7. A Murphy:gracefield (young talented player, very quick and a good man marker that does well going forward)
8. B Connor:walsh island (very talented could be a future great for the county)
9. N Smith:gracefield (Amazing fielder of the ball could be turned into a huge player for offaly)
10. G Guilfoyle:clara (blistering pace but needs to play with his head up)
11. A Sullivan:rhode (class act needs to stay fit)
12. M Brazil:tullamore (very strong and can kick a score from anywhere as well as see a pass)
13 S Dooley:tullamore (very accurate player could be what were missing)
14.N McNamee:rhode (cant do without him but needs to become more of a team player)
15.???????? cant think of anyone to give it to any real contenders??

Without doubt the best team put forward so far on the forum. May be with the exception of 1 or 2 players.... Good blend of youth and experience.
John Reynolds, Tomas Deehan, Bernard Allen or or Nigel Dunne for that 15 spot.

Not a bad team given there is a big change on the way though id swap Mitchell to centre if he was playing. Think B Darby is lacking pace for corner back though he could be an option for centre back. Very good reader of the game. Colin Egan should be there if he was interested in playing football. Assuming someone has an idea of who is in for try outs at present. Just wondering who the new faces are and who is being considered. would be interested to know if there are any or many from junior and intermediate clubs. Wouldn be puttin lads up here to knock them but just hope that lads outside of the larger senior clubs are being looked at....

Is it true that there is a football trial in Clara tomorrow? Can anyone just turn up or do you have to be contacted?

Just turn up and queue. Simon Cowell is the special guest judge.

Any suggestions out there for the team that will start against Westmeath in the first round of the O Byrne Cup? Just a little over 2 weeks away now.Has anyone any information on a panel or who is new and who is gone from last year?
