Shane Dooley was shown a straight red card in the Fitzgibbon Cup today, meaning he will probably miss Offaly's games against Dublin and Tipperary.

No great loss. Plenty of good hurlers to replace him in Offaly.

yes, but few as good as him. be a huge loss. i know he hasnt been on fire of late, but when he is hes hard to stop.

I think not. Remember the Ken Casey situation of a few years ago. Suspensions apply to different 'grades' of hurling. Inter-county is a 'grade', 'intervarsity' is a different grade and 'club' is a different grade again, and a suspension doesn't follow across. On the other hand, Senior inter-county and U21 inter-county are the same grade which was where the confusion arose in the Casey case.

Then again, it depends on what Dooley gets reported for. An offence leading to a 4 week suspension should see him OK to continue to hurl inter-county, while anything longer might apply across the grades.

Anyone know who he hit / what he done?

Are you comparing Shane Dooley to Eoin Kelly in hurling terms?

No , but tipptopper25 is been a arseh.le about a offaly hurler again, and yes theres not a better
forward in offaly at the moment, why kinnittyman do you know a better forward in offaly is there one in kinnitty
and i also would say Dooley would get his place on that tipp team he is as good if not better than Bonnar Maher
or Ger Ryan that are on the team.
