Whats the format for the hurling qualifiers

Post by Mr Faithful »

Just wondering what the format is for our hurlers in the qualifiers!! Will our footballers & hurlers be out on the same day.Thought we should have won on sat eve, we had our chances but didn't take them. At least I still have pride in them unlike our footballers who lack the apetite that is shown by the hurlers. Will we get something to cheer about over the summer months.

The four counties that failed to make a provincial semi go into one pot and play down to two, the four counties that lose the provincial semis go into another pot and also play down to two. Those four then play each other to get down to two again, before playing the losing provincial finalists in the All Ireland quarter finals.

Do you know are all of those open draws?
ie, If Wexford lose the semifinal and Offaly make it through the qualifiers first round, they could face Wexford then in the second round (or third round if Wexford lose the Leinster final)?
