Maybe Searing Drive is thinking of the 2000 U21 first round when Offaly beat Wexford with Paul Molloy's last minute goal.

It could be, I recall a Des Mythen on a Wexford team then, he went on to play for Wexford Seniors.

Pressure and fear is getting to Leix. They're even trying to get Buff Egan on board for Monday night.

The very best to the Minors tonight.
Big game.
Go out and do it boys.
We are all behind you.
Two wins this week for offaly hurling would be massive

Some serious talent in this Offaly panel, Ravenhill and Screeney especially. Very excited for it and hopefully can get the job done.

Few bits,

*Play the match not the occasion
*Focus on the breathing, control the nerves and help conserve the energy in the build up
*Ye are 16/17, only worry about yerselves and what ye can do and not us cnuts in the stand
*Play for the team, the team that plays to the plan will succeed and don't try to play to the crowd, play the %'s, simple things well is all that needs to be focussed on!

Try to enjoy the experience and embrace it, ye have gotten there and ye have the opportunity to learn, develop and set out that these are the days that you want to be a part of for the future...and be comfortable handling these occasions into the future.

With all that in mind, this is a chance to win a Leinster, not been done for a long time by an Offaly county hurling team, so get stuck in and park any fear of failure....control the controllables as they say.

Best of luck to you lads and to the team management!
