Attention: anyone looking to play hurling in Dublin

Post by Plain of the Herbs »

I have been asked to bring this to the attention of anyone who might be looking for a club in Dublin in which to play adult hurling or camogie this year.

The Garda Westmanstown Gaels have had an adult football club for many years, based on their premises in west county Dublin, conveniently located between Lucan and Blanchardstown.

Their underage hurling section has been developing for a number of years and they are now ready to advance into adult hurling and camogie.
Coolderry native Vincent Teehan is one of the drivers of hurling in the club, and the adult team will commence in Junior grade. I’m told it’s not ‘social’ hurling and the club have ambitious plans. It is a ‘club for all’ and they welcome hurlers as well as camogie players.

A link to the club’s website is here:

And a recent promotional piece is here:

And you don’t have to be a Garda, all are welcome. If interested, there is a contact number on the website or you can contact Vincent.
Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.
