agree there kevin. westmeath laois and antrim are currently a step above us .dublin 2 steps above. we would not want to be losing the run of ourselves at all.

A sobering reality check of our true standing among the elite underage hurling counties at the first water break in the Leinster minor final.

Offaly held their own in 2nd quarter only losing that section by 2 points.

Chr1st, what is it with Offaly bowing down and prostrating themselves before KK at all levels. These lads look absolutely petrified of KK for some reason. They are way better than this but the sight of the KK jersey has psychologically distroyed them.

main thing now is to look after them and keep them together. losing by 9 pts might not have been too bad a result .

Any word why Rory Dunne was dropped. Thought he was good last few games. one would think if the lad wasn't from kelligh it wouldn't have been the case...just saying

Maybe he was injured, lost form etc. Where a lad is from makes no odds.

He made some difference when he came on I'm afraid where lads are from makes a difference alright

Where is Kelligh? Is that the biggest parish in Leinster that needed to amalgamate with Killurin yet still can’t hurl senior?

Absolute rubbish. We didn't lie down. It's just how the game turned out. The kilkenny jersey didn't win the game for them or lose it from our lads either.

Offaly started slowly in all their games and kikenny took full advantage.

Offaly problem was that they could not win their own puckout on the early stages of the first half. Kilkenny went 7 to 1 up in this stage. At all levels we have struggled to win the ball in the air. This is something we need to work at at development squad and all levels even senior. Same thing happened in 2019 minor against Dublin. We couldn't win our own Puck out.

Fair play to the lads who fought back valiantly . It would have been easy to throw in the towel but they fought back well. We were perhaps due two more penalties from the referee.

Despite the defeat, it was great to be back in a final.

Killeigh and Killurin are in the same parish, they have been Senior in the past as Killeigh. If you can’t spell the name properly, then piss off. We have 3 players on the Offaly Senior Hurling panel for your information. If you check the map you will find Killeigh, but you won’t find Kelligh anywhere, but in your ignorant brain.

This is the key. Most won't be hurling Senior for their clubs this year (2021), unlike the time when Minor grade was U18 and lads graduated to club Senior at age 19. Somehow their development at county level needs to be continued throughout 2021.

Offaly put up a big score vs sligo but conceded a lot. 2 39 to 2 17 well done on the win.
