A one point win, couldn’t make it to the game but listening on the radio it sounded like a good battle considering the time of year it is. Think we had close to 20 wides which we may work on! Great for the team to get some silverware, onwards to the league now step it up another gear.

Bbbbbbbut...........they’d a chip van.

For a Kehoe Cup game.

Well done to team and management yesterday. We seemed to dominate the game but wides allowed Antrim to hang in.
Let this be the platform, and push on now hard for the league. Good start for Fennelly and from listening on the radio the one thing that appeared to be the case was the workrate off the ball to hassle the Antrim backs and forwards. In fact when you look at some of the scores that were posted against Offaly in the earlier games it looks like a decent performance in holding Antrim to 15pts over the 70 minutes.
Thats the standard now. Not sure how much Antrim have to bring into the fold for the league but we seem to have added some depth to the squad and I am looking forward to the league now.

Some good news for the hurling fraternity, positive for T Byrne in appointing Michael Fennelly, and must have been a proud moment for Michael to see young Brian score that goal!

I didn't get to the game, listen to it on the radio. We seem to work hard but didn't put it on the score board and we nearly got caught. We got over the lne hopefully it a first step on the road to recovery.

exactly the conclusion i have and fennelly highlighted that there was only a puck of a ball.

i'd be concerned with the fact we brought in Ravenhill as an extra defender for last few mins to see out game as we 4 points up and then we conceed a point and a goal.

something or someone didn't work!!!

full back especially i think is a position to be filled. whats the story with Cillian Kiely?

a good win silverware on the table .made it hard for ourselfs when we were 3 points up in the second half missed at least five points in front of goal to put us 7 or 8 points clear but fair play when antrim scored the last mintue goal they showed great balls to get the winner its a game we would have lost in previous years.

the backs were great on sunday and inproved from other games Brian Watkins was a big lost going off at half time. meath sunday week thats when it all starts for the year.

Be interesting to see if shane Dooley hangs on now joe is gone. Shane out with injury at the moment but would do serious damage at this level

I think Dooley will stay for the year. He will get some of the league and will have a huge part to play in the championship. Even if he only gets 20 mins a game. More a background influence on the younger guys.

Bergin was with Clareen in Leinster so had to make the decision after they lost that. I think he made the right decision.

Offaly 26 to 1 -21 meath. Win is a win but meath could've stole it at the end. Big improvements needed.

Fell over the line, a win is a win but there is a huge improvement needed because today was no where the standard we need to even get promoted in my opinion.

Seriously concerned for this team..I am not sure looking at the team where we are gonna beat Kerry or Antrim.

Look at the team named where are the match winners?
We really are hurling at the level we are suppose to be at.

Also I must say the Offaly supporters have a very negative reaction to small mistakes from players, I think it's an awful way for players to hear growns format the crowd when you make mistakes, we should support them at all times at matches instead of putting more pressue on a team who has huge pressure as it is.

Was not at it BUT A WIN, I'd take that any day...…..

Did think it would be handy after the 8 goals but 2 League points will do grand.
