Have nominations for the vacancies been requested from the clubs ?

When have they to be in by ?

What is date for first CB meeting ?

Are vacancies to be filled at first CB meet or at an adjourned convention ?

Nothing on the website...…...

And everybody breath !!! The voting is over the board is picked, now can we cut out all the judgement and pointless bickering and get on with improving things to come on and off the field. The new county board can be judged in time and the old board are thanked for their time and we must move on.

So when will the "missing names" be released since according to "kingscounty" they were already picked on 13 Dec

So kingscounty was only bluffing when he claimed all the jobs had been filled.

We have to wait for the first meeting of the County Board......which is of course the correct procedure,.

The latest news on the vacant positions is that the following have been proposed by the incoming board and hope to be ratified at the county board Christmas Dinner tomorrow in o Connor Park.

Fixtures. Santa and the elves. They will have lots of time on their hands after the 25th. They know where everyone lives and who is naughty or nice if clubs are looking for a match to be postponed. Riding over Offaly in their sleigh, they can immediately see if any pitches are unavailable. On the days of the big games, the elves will man the gates of the venues to ensure every penny is brought back to the county board coffers and that the local clubs are not profiteering in any way.
In a cost saving measure, the county board will no longer hire the Longford Gaa or Leinster Gaa ticket van but instead the tickets for games will be sold from Santa's sleigh.

Any people giving out about fixtures, will be added to the naughty list and will receive nothing in their stocking the following year.
In an progressive and money saving development, their naughty or nice list will replace the functions of the CCCC for any lads who pick up red or yellow cards during the year.

Development officer. Willie wonka. If he can run a chocolate factory, he will be able to put through a few grants and a few projects. Hopefully the buildings he provides will not be made of just chocolate. The three wise men and the Inn keeper will be also be involved on an adhoc basis. Always good to have wise men involved when making big decisions.
The willy wonka elevator will be used to transport the executive all around the country.

Children's officer. Mccauley culkin as he knows what it's like to be home alone. He will have a few pound as well to put into the kitty.

Assistant treasurer. Ebenazor Scrooge for obvious reasons. He will mind all the money. A good appointment that will ensure a healthy balance sheet. No one from around the county, or manager will dare ask him for "please sir can. I have some more" . Post game meals for County teams will now consist of water and porridge.

PRO. Elf on the shelf. This fella has a Big social media profile. He has been all over twitter and Facebook in the last few weeks.Hopes to develop a tik toc and Snapchat account for the county. He is also well able to hide and can be difficult to find especially when bad news breaks. Another good appointment.

Cultural officer. Frosty the snowman. Loves singing, especially walking in the air and is a great man for an auld get together. He will be ablely assisted by Rudolf the red nose reindeer who had chart topping success.
Working together frosty and rudolph will compile an Christmas number 1 dance tune based around the Uibh fhaile Uibh fhaile chant. It will be another first for the Gaa.

Credit where it's due, I was very worried about the lack of experience after convention but the new group have gone the right way about addressing that, bringing in some very good people into key roles. Obviously the work only starts now, but you'd have to be encouraged.
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Michael Duignan has gotten some good names on board. People with good track records within the GAA and elsewhere. He is doing well in getting people to put themselves forward and is obviously working hard behind the scenes.
