Leinster Senior championship tickets

Post by Plain of the Herbs »

Just to bring to peoples' attention that tickets for the forthcoming round robin matches are now on sale.

Now, it's still three weeks away, but there could be an issue around scarcity of stand tickets for Bord na Móna Park for the Galway match. Season ticket holders get first dibs on stand tickets as part of the deal. And with a decent chance Galway could be in the All-Ireland final, Galway will have a larger number of season ticket holders. The match won't sell out, but the stand might, and someone who would need a seat due to old age or infirmity (or the rain) might miss out. There are no stand tickets on sale currently for Dublin v Kilkenny in Parnell Park, or for Galway v Kilkenny in Galway (which has a stand something similar in size to Tullamore, and where both teams would have close enough to the full quota of season ticket holders).

And while I'm at it, the Parnell Park terrace seems to be divided. My impression is the Golf Course side is the terrace on the side opposite the stand, while the Church End terrace is behind the near goal. And the latter is probably best avoided and to be left to the locals!

Anyway, here's a link to Leinster Council's ticket details page:
