well Gazza kelly was midfield last year again Birr and Rory Hannifffy won that contest Nigel White was only a sub last year James O 'Sullivan was the other midfielder who
was taking off last year.

Coolderrys midfield of Kevin Brady and Kevin Teehan were very good last year in offaly and their all ireland run. also Birr could have Rory Hanniffy and maybe Dylan Hayden
or Sean Ryan centrefield this year so if you think Rynaghs Kelly and Nigel White are better hurlers or will come out on top of Coolderrys or Birrs midfield you will want to watch
hurling alot closer.

as for 3 defenders on the county panel will only one will make it Horan, but sure if you go by that seir kierans will win the championship with whats it 6 on the panel
Birr also have 3 who can play at the back for offaly this year, Cleary,Harding,Hanniffy, Mick Verney is out hurt at the moment which would have made 4 who were in the squad
for the league.

Just a note for anyone who may be going to our game v Clara in the Intermediate hurling championship this evening. The match will now be played in Banagher, with throw in unchanged at 7:30pm

Cheers for that, Lusmagh. Unfortunately I can't attend this evening. Good luck to all.

It's not acceptable either that there is a full round of IHC matches this weekend and that this fact has escaped the County board's website. information age and all. But never mind - They've got 1,000 twits (I mean followers on twitter, and all of them as much in the dark as to the IHC as the rest of us).

If anyone knows how Ballinamere v K/K (fixed for Thursday night) and C&R v Killurin (fixed for last night) got on it'd be great.

Heard it finished Lusmagh 4-22 Clara 0-10 or thereabouts. A relief to win a group match for the first time in five years! Onwards and upwards from here.

The Offaly GAA site is reporting that 'Rynagh's beat Birr by five points. Also heard the other matches fixed (B'mere v K-K and C&R v Killurin did not take place.

The St Rynagh's site states that they are hurling Shinrone in the SHC in Birr on Saturday evening. Is there a full round of the SHC on that evening? Does anyone have the fixtures please?

What's the story with the Offaly GAA website, absolutly brutal for updating fixtures list... The last couple of weeks all I've seen is feckin U14 and U16 B hurling fixtures. FFS update it! They were able to tell us in the Offaly news section that there is a round of championship but no sign of the actual fixtures. Joke.

To be fair to the Co Board on this one, the website has improved vastly and Niall Murphy does a great job as PRO. I'm sure the man works a full time job aswell so fair dues to him for doing the job. If you ring your club secretary, they'll have the fixtures.

And sorry that the 'feckin' u14 and u16 b competitions don't rank as important to you, it must be great to be so important and not to have to worry about the pesky feckers in the b competitions.

Junior hurling championship was also scheduled for this weekend. Is that going ahead as planned on master fixture schedule?

Sorry, definitely didn't mean any offence by that comment.. I was just stating the fact there are rarely any adult fixtures updated lately. I do agree that the Offaly gaa website has improved in the last year or so but its still pretty frustrating not to see fixtures updated requirely.
