Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015

Reckon this is more Sligo calling the shots on Flanagan than anything as he hasnt committed to them yet despite them wanting him to stay on...... It may mean he will get the Offaly gig but Sligo would have felt held to ransom that he hasnt said either or......Turns out now that Flanagan will have to...

Re: football championship 2014

Thought Rhode were streets ahead of Clara today....... Going forward Clara offered very little against a hard working Rhode defence who closed off the space easily v a clara team that seemed too slow moving the ball forward and a good few lads were more intent on soloing than moving the ball quickly...

Re: football championship 2014

If this is true, it is an absolute disgrace. He should be suspended for misconduct and I am serious. To put a players life in danger like that is just phenomenal! He was obviously in the ambulance in the first place for a reason. If a player put another players lefe in danger intentionally, wouldnt ...

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State

Any idea what is coming out of last Wednesday nights forum? What is being done to ACTUALLY have a changing effect on what has been happening?

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State

Well said Substandard......I was there last night and left annoyed and extremely disappointed.....Wasnt so much a forum but a rally call to enthuse people to "Get them out hurlin"......Like a Pied Piper to the rats. While I thought Fogarty spoke very well, i felt that at times he spoofed a...

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State

I too was totally underwhelmed and I would say that a lot of people were more frustrated leaving than when they came in...... 2 men asked hard questions and they were glossed over! Will give more opinion later when I have more time!!

Re: Well done Padraig Boland and CB

In fairness i think people have very good reason to be annoyed at lack of progress in recent times..... we have been horrific, mainly down to poor preparation of teams. Times have moved on from the 80s and 90s and other counties are equipping their managements with proper support structures. this is...

Re: Offaly GAA Strength and Conditioning

As far as i know, Joe Quinn from Clara was with the senior Hurlers this year, not sure about Senior football. Underage seems to be co ordinated between team managements and games development personnell..... dont know anything re minor and U21....

Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015

Any word on this? Surely there is something happening.......with McDonnell stepping down months ago and championship in full flow, there should be someone in place by now if we were serious about moving things forward. Hard to credit Colin Kelly for this job. Did well with Louth 21s and maybe a club...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno

Read it too and just smacks of exactly the shortsightedness that exists in the county. Couldnt believe it.....Just confirms the ignorance and apartheid that is already there that everyone in north offaly hurling feels.....With people like him involved who cannot see beyond his nose, no wonder we are...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno

I think this is fantastic.....finally something positive being done / addressed.... Would have a small little reservation though......in my opinion this wont work to its full capacity UNLESS Offaly coaches etc are engaged in the whole process and decision making process...... Coaches need to feel fu...

Re: Offaly Hurling Championships 2014

Saw the Tullamore Kinnity game this evening.......Poor enough fare at times but little or nothing between them..... Colm Coughlan and Odran Kealy were good for Kinnity while Shane Kelly, Dooley from frees Steven Egan and Niall Houlihan were good for Tullamore..... Tullamore will feel really hard don...

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State

Hard to get away from what has happened this year..... worse still is the impact it will have on teams and potential teams going forward.... Looking at the football, there were zero positives from the seniors, 21's showed a glimmer but then well beaten and minors too with a horrendous annihilation b...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014

Have to agree with substandard and ahlethimoutwithit....... Dublin didnt catch a huge amount of kickouts at all despite the physical advantage, but they mopped up on the breaks constantly......numerous times they broke the ball down to their lads (Clearly palming it in a given direction) and our fel...
