Re: Johnny Pilkington
Is this up on the player lads or a link to it. I missed this and would love to see it. I know myself that he was fierce well regarded as a hurler as well as a bit of a character right around the country. I think the comment about the drinking if Offaly won the All Ireland is ironic, in the sense tha...

Re: Offaly SHC 2021
"but give the teams an incentive to get to the final..." ???? How do teams need an incentive to get to the final?????
Surely then relegation battle is an incentive not to end up in one?

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Sorry now, but not sure who said we'll be fine in the league but we'll struggle in C Ring? Aren't Carlow and Kerry in the league with us? Another man said "we don't have time" to develop players, they must hit the ground running effectively? Yes, you would hope so, but this ain't a normal ...

Re: Club Managements
On the volunteerism front and by no means are they duty bound, but it's interesting that there is very little football coaching in Tullamore college where both Keith Begley and Richie Dalton are both teachers. Yet both are appointed to Shamrocks and Raheen respectively. Bracknaghboys point is a cruc...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Best of luck to the lads who opted out. But more importantly, let's get behind the lads who have opted in! Not interested in discussing either of the Kiely's situations, or any of the other lads...all are losses given where we are now. Big committment required and lets see how we cope without them. ...

Re: Club Managements
"a few Leinster Clubs would surely benefit Offaly hurling" The question is what these guys will bring to the table in developing the atitude of the huring fraternity in these areas re the transition of the game from the time when we were winning a "few Leinster clubs"? What are t...

Re: Minor Football
If you think about it, by playing the Leinster finals , 2 of the 4 teams would have been finished by next Sunday. And perhaps GAA could have enforced a 2 week break as Ulster still has to be played, (football anyway). But now our minors and Meath and Kilkenny will probably have over the next 2 weeks...

Re: Minor Football
Super display, word was they are a hard working bunch and they definitely improved again from last week. All players made great contributions but from knowing a little about the work that goes on with S&C at underage and the gradual improvement of many of the teams year on year (over last 5 year...

Re: Minor Football
Best of luck to management and players tomorrow.
Imagine the excitement if we were told last year that our minor footballers would play the same day as the Senior All Ireland?

Re: The offaly way.
And this kicks off this evening for the footcall with option of joining 2 sessions in January for those not available.
So I presume the warriors here are all signed up and ready to input suggestions and get involved?
