We might win the joe McDonagh Cup but I don't see what he has done so far.
Relative to where we were when he took us over, would you not think its fair to say he’s done a good job?

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
Hans you could do us and yourself a favour before posting on this forum and let someone proof read that sh!te you come out with The effects of this administration can already be felt. It would be interesting to see how many finals across every grade school intercounty etc, an offaly team has compete...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2024
Hard luck to tullamore Kick out went badly wrong in the closing 10, got turned over multiple times and was surprised they didn’t try a couple short to retain possession, Naas would have likely have dropped off once the ball got worked outside the 40m line. Thought it was odd that so few lads were pu...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Waterford are miles ahead
Only need to look at what happened Dublin and westmeath today to see where we fall in the natural order of things
Think we’ll keep it reasonably close until waterford run in their first goal and then the floodgates will open
Any word on ross and dan ravenhill

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
First of the year soft day
My own thoughts
No deccie hogan , jack mcevoy and ruairi mac not starting
Feels like the dawn of a new era
Lets get a bit of chat going round this lads, feels like this is a team we can all get behind. Been asking to freshen things up for years and we have it now.

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
I wouldn't read much into the O'Byrne Cup. Dublin beat Wexford 5-17 to 1-11 last weekend sure. Longford only made 2 substitutions in normal time yesterday, which shows they were putting a big emphasis on winning instead of trying lads out. If Offaly had taken the same approach as Longford did, they...

Charlie Mitchell went well tonight for NUIG.
Are we a bit light this year with sigerson/fitzgibbon involvement in comparison to recent years?

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
If we played either of those two counties in a game of consequence, they would win by 20 + points. Galway beat the brakes off Offaly playing in pea soup fog in a pre season friendly with half a panel. A strong Carlow team got hockeyed by Kilkenny (missing half a panel) last week, we are a million mi...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Ah here. Don’t be kidding yourself on. I don’t think anyone is saying the quality of hurler we have is at the same level as whats in those two counties. How can you compare a county that can’t get out of the Mcdonagh cup with a county who are getting non stop exposure to liam mccarthy level teams ov...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
Down and Sligo to go up, Wicklow and Clare to go down for me. Clare have lost far too many good players to be able to keep things on an even keel. Interested to hear the rationale behind Sligo?? hem Doesn't sound like an altogether dissimilar scenario to the one Offaly found themselves in after the...
