Re: 2015 O' Byrne Cup
excellent win, it's been a very long time since we'd have given any team that kind of a trimming. Naturally now all the focus will shift to the league & getting a) a settled team, B) win the Divison 4 title...sounds simple, but it will anything but!! Does anyone know what the offaly panel looks ...

Re: County Board 2015
Just wondering Offaly's Future what role you applied for within the county board or do you think this is the best place to cure all the ills in Offaly GAA? Hate to break it to you, but if you really want to bring about real change in Offaly GAA, get out from behind the keyboard & get involved, a...

How did Daryl Dwyer hurl? Any chance Sid calls him in this year?

Re: Strength and Conditioning Coach available
I'd say 85% of clubs in offaly don't have a strenght & fitness coach...so you should have no problem finding a club or 2 to take u on!!

Re: Appearance Fee for a County Man?
Ok seriously if you were a 15/16 year old footballer what current offaly player would you be aspiring to be? Same thing for the hurlers? Beyond Niall McNamee, Alan Mulhall or Rory Hannify i'd be struggling to think of anyone else a young player might know or want to meet!! The only thing a current O...

Re: Appearance Fee for a County Man?
Would a kid or adult even know an offaly county footballer or hurler nowadays if they stood in front of them...like their hardly celebrities around the county? I'd say keep the clubs or your own €150 & do something for the people getting presented with the medals, no one would remember who hande...

Re: Rhode in Leinster - 2014
I'm loving the positivity around rhode but St. Vincents are another step up from anything that Rhode have played all year. I think only St. Vincent's complacency can beat them on the day as they should have too much for Rhode all over the field. Can't see Rhode having the players to hold Connelly or...

Re: Rhode in Leinster - 2014
Great result & performance from Rhode, certainly not 1 I was expecting. Big question now is, is making a Leinster final enough for these lads? St. Vincent's got their shock today against Garrycastle & got over the line...can't see them being so complacent in the final. As an Offaly man I'm v...

Re: Rhode in Leinster - 2014
It's all about Brian Whelahan do Rhode can't get a look in. In fairness it's another great chance for Rhode to make a Leinster final, the problem is that Rhode haven't really being convincing in any of their games so far & they will need to go to a level that they haven't got to all year to have...

Re: Offaly Hurling Panel 2015
I think it's easy to point the finger at Sid & say he's the reason that these lads are dropping off the panel but since most Offaly people wouldn't go out and watch the offaly hurlers if they playing on their front lawn why would you be wasting your time training for the year!! The other thing t...

Re: Transferring within the County
Ok, I'm wrong about John Kenny...it wasn't 8 yrs...but it didn't happen straight away either because Daingain objected to his transfer!! The point I'm making is that if you don't get your backing of your old club to transfer which is what theoutsider has said, then it's going to be very difficult to...

Re: Transferring within the County
It's really up to your club to push it through...if they say no, then u can forget about getting a transfer. The GAA is really against these types of transfers because they assume that players are just moving to a bigger more successful club...they want you to stay with your local club. If memory se...

Re: Rhode in Leinster - 2014
What Keith Barr knows about club football outside of dublin could be wrote in a stamp...but then again I think most people would be the same in so far as they know their own club scene fairly well & base other county's club on how good or bad their county team is at that moment in time. For me M...

Re: National Hurling League 2015
Was it ever in doubt that Brian wouldn't be reappointed? Of course it wasn't...sure the county board would have been in awe of Brian so if offaly hurlers are poor it must be the players fault because Brian's the greatest hurler this county has ever produced!! This is a disgraceful decision & 1 t...
