It'll either be:
Offaly 3-20
Leix 1-7

or

Offaly 1-14
Leix 2-9

Didn't spot the team had been posted. Oakley starts as I'd hoped. Hayden and Egan replaced. Egan looked a little short of self belief, whenever I saw him. If Hanrahan plays in the full forward line it will give us two tall men to aim at. I would have thought that Brendan O'Meara was in line to start...

The worry is that it'll be a wet day and Leix will be able to mullock us out of it. As I've said before, we are conceding far too many big scores. In the league we conceded: Cork 2-18 (In February) Clare 2-22 (On a wet day) Tipp 2-21 (And an absolute tonne of easy wides) Would anyone be surprised if...

I'd agree with Tom on that one. Deehan was unlucky with the goal chance, but he had no choice but to try and bring it around Lurch in goals, because he was already out on top of him and had the angle closed. Deehan doesn't let his head drop after missing a chance. That sometimes seems to happen with...

Offaly vs Cork hurling challenge match

Does anyone have a report on this? I heard in the pub that Cork hammered Offaly by 3-21 to 0-7, or something ridiculous like that. Not sure how close to full strength we were. Sadly it doesn't surprise me that we're still conceding scores by the lorryload. I still think we badly need to patch up our...

I wasn't at it, but I heard in the pub that Wicklow behaved like tramps...which is hardly shocking. Wicklow would be better dispensing with the new batch of wannabe thugs and trying to bring through some footballers instead. Apparently the goalie was sent off for firstly kicking Ken Casey when he sc...

http://www.evan.org/posters/esb5.jpg Better to win a poor game than lose a classic. I think Offaly football would have taken a mortal blow had we lost again to Westmeath. I was fairly concerned when they got it back to 3 points. To be honest, Shane Sullivan getting sent off might have turned the ga...

I'll be on the Hill.
Hopefully Offaly people will come out in numbers and get behind the team, though I have my doubts.
I'd say Louth will be bringing the most support on Sunday.

What's the feeling around the county for this game? It seems fairly low key. Despite all the setbacks we've had in the last 5 years, I think we'll win. Living about 2 miles from the border, I'd have no time for Westmeath. For years they seemed more interested in seeing Offaly get beaten than getting...

Leinster minor hurling semi final draw

Semi-Final Draw:

Offaly V Carlow
Kilkenny V Dublin

That could be a very tricky match against Carlow.
We were lucky enough to beat them by a point earlier in the championship.
Since then they have beaten Wexford.
