Re: Severe lack of Offaly O’Neills Gear on website
I see a new Offaly jersey is on the way according to the Offaly section of the O’Neills website. I’m surprised by this as in the recent past we have allowed our jersey to complete a 3 year cycle and then change. The current iteration has only done 2. Anyways hopefully it will be released (along with...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
PJ I asked the question was it 4000 that's what I heard it was. Number of posters had the answer and it was significantly higher. Which is great. Certainly not trying to down play finals in tullamore it's a super venue with top class facilities if anything too good for county finals ( hence the atm...

[quote="private joker" post_id=68770 time=1696519775 user_id=9209 There was also reference to the lack of a pre match parade last year by one poster. Who is that down to? Surely its the county board that organise that? [/quote] That was me. Yes it was down to the CB last year and they didn...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Private joker at least the supporters wil have a bit of atmosphere rather than playing it in a funeral home If atmosphere is your number one concern then surely the game should be played somewhere like Lusmagh? You do know atmosphere adds to the occasion, enjoyment and perception of a game ye...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
If I'm mistaken I accept that but I am convinced an attendance of just over 5,100 was announced.
Either figure will be beaten on Sunday week anyways and the 2021 figure will be obliterated.

Re: Junior A Hurling Championship 2023
You'd imagine Ballinamere will account for Clodiagh Gaels given results to date. However, beyond that I think Brosna Gaels would be too strong for a Ballinamere second team. Unlike other years, Brosna Gaels football teams are all out reasonably early and so they will have way more prep and player a...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Attendance reported in the media was 5,793, and the receipts reported in the Board's Annual Report published at Convention was €59,327. Do we have any idea what the attendance was last year of paid tickets ? Heard the figure 4,000 would that be roughly correct? 2022 attendance was just over 5,100. ...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
The Shinrone vs K/K county final will be the first back to back final consisting of the same teams since Birr and Coolderry played in 3 finals in row from 2004-2006.
Was that 2006 final the most recent final in SBP?

Re: Offaly Senior B Hurling Championship 2023
Impossible to see anything but a win for K/K today. Particularly with CG without Joey Keenaghan and Dylan Hyland.
If the day stays dry and calm it could get nasty for the Killeigh-Killurin combo.

Re: Junior A Hurling Championship 2023
K/K have massive talent in their first 2 teams and are favourites to win those championships.
But they have an average Junior A team. If Brosna Gaels have anything about them they should win this.
