Re: Joe McDonagh cup
There is talk that Ross King is back on the Laois panel. Offaly will have to hit the ground running in this one. They have picked up a few injuries from the club championship too so hopefully they return in time.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
Staying on the topic of the Joe McDonagh Cup. We are a month out from the start of it and still no confirmed dates for the games. I am expecting mostly Saturday games but it is still nice to know for definite.

Re: Senior B Hurling 2019
I see that Clareen obliterated Caarrig and Riverstown by 22 points. I’m aware that Freeman isn’t around. How do they go from CRC being competitive in A competitions to being a struggling senior B team at adult level? Surely Crinkill don’t have that many on the CRC teams. In saying that SK should be...

Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling
I can understand why it is not attractive to hurl for Offaly...but the footballers results have been okay over the last number of years everyone should be mad to play for the county. Who are the 10 players who would be good enough for a matter of interest. Colm Doyle, Carl Stewart, Graham Guilfoyle...

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019
There should be incentives for clubs to have delegates on the top table of the county board to change things up. Whatever club has a member on the top table doesn’t have to pay the levy at the start of the year. Something stupid like that because there is no incentive for people to get involved anym...

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019
Had the weather been good last week and the pitch not been tore up Carlow would definitely have won that game but it was bad weather and the pitch was tore up and the goalkeeper let in two howlers as a result and Carlow missed two penalties but hey it is what it is

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019
I couldn’t get to the game yesterday but did have a listen in on the wireless. Seemed to me in the first half went more direct probably because they did have a strong wind in their favour but in the second half did they change it up and try a running game with short passing? The impression I got fro...

I heard he is living in the Ballinamere area. It was on the Tribune that he was requesting to move.

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019
Team for tomorrow’s game. I can’t see Colin Egan and Paddy Murphy line up at full forward and corner forward respectively. I’d expect to see them out around the half forward line. Aidan Treacy at wing forward is baffling me. I know he’s a target on puckouts but he lacks a lot of mobility. I’d expec...

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019
Was sent on something by a mate of mine who follows Martin Bennett on Facebook or Instagram or the likes. He showed a video of the vast difference in warm ups in terms of intensity. Unfortunately, I didn’t attend but am interested to see people’s thoughts on this. I’m not suggesting anything, just ...

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019
On a different note, I heard snippets from Midlands 103 on Sunday and if anyone knows anything on this please do let it be known that David Hare (S&C coach) was let go or left in the week leading up to the Dublin game. I also didn’t see him at the game on Sunday which he usually would be.

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019
Quite the opposite, it now seems. Now, we all know the coaching and preparation in Offaly has ranged from poor to non-existent for two decades now, but Offaly hurling could do without the coffin screws in the shape of exclusion from their own province. Who is the coaching officer responsible for Hu...
