What next?
Its easy enough to be objective from afar while watching the soap opera that is the Offaly GAA Fortunes unfolds. The hurling is rebuilding and I have not heard any calls for McIntyre's head, which is a very good thing as he could use a little time in this his second installment. The football situati...

Not to worry
I don't profess to know as much on a day to day or overall as most any of the posters out there. I agree that beating Down by 4 points is a bit disappointing, but I can imagine them being whipped into a fury for a home match against us. I can see a scenario where Cork are just getting organized and ...

Rankings
Totally meaningless off season nonsense. The lower we are ranked the better. The more they think we've lost the spirit and fight back ability the better. Our recent results have been disappointing, but at least we've been in the games. With a little luck things might have been different, but they ar...

Who got dropped because they were studying for leaving (and had medical aspirations)?
Something like that could signal a retirement for sure.

Full Forward
Give it a tryout in the league. Can't hurt to see what happens. He'll do everything he can and we'll know if it is a worthwhile endeavor soon enough.

Legendary Times
I can remember sitting in Furlong's Bar in the Catskills watching the first Clare replay of 1998. Down by 10 points and all I could think was ... with all that talent and all we have is a hijacked 1994 title to show for. I suppose that in addition to a little luck we have the loss in 1995 to thank f...

Was anyone at the hurling game on Saturday?
We just got by.
I know there was only minimal incentive in this one, but a competitive game with Dublin?
Bring on next year.

Good Point
We've paid heavily for not having the right alignment. I hope they stick with McIntyre. After the KK debacle he and the lads could have thrown in the towel, but that obviously has not been the case. Steady improvement without the results unfortunately. The lack of scoring late in the game last week ...

Time to Start Over
Tradition to the bin. We seem to be set adrift in terms of football. We have good players, but as a team we are average. We have to wipe the slate clean of all this tradition we carry around. We need to go off for the summer and stew about how we are yet again finished early. When we regroup we shou...
