Edenderry GAA Vandalised

It makes my blood boil to read of this. The scumbags invloved should get 10 years. FROM Edenderry GAA Website Vandals Break In 12 August 2009 The Club Committee were very disappointed to discover yet another break-in at the GAA Centre on Tuesday morning. The incident occured sometime after 10.30 pm ...

Re: Football Draw

Whats going on with football in Edenderry? Both teams in a relegation battle. Its not good for Offaly football when you have one of your main towns struggling so badly. Yes soccer is strong in the town but that cant fully explain why they're in this situation. Its not good at all. The 2nd biggest t...

Re: Football Draw

True LS but experience has thought me that Rynaghs are highly unpredictable. A full strength and focused Rynaghs team would win the intermediate but they are equally likely to turn up with only 15 or 16 players for a game and showing little interest (its happened before). Kilcormac are the same when...

Re: Who will make it to the knockout stages??

The Blue and Gold are through to the knockout stages of the intermediate :D . We'll have our work cut out with the likes of Doon, Raheen and Island left but still everybody (myself included) found it hard to see anything but a scrap in the relegation battle for Bracknagh but 2 wins and a narrow defe...

Re: Interview with Finbarr Cullen

Without a doubt our best defender in a long time. Players with the honesty of this guy are no more I'm afraid. If ever there was a man to go 70mins regardless of the score or situation and never once pulled out of a ball. Its a pity he retired in '03 he had 2 more years in him but injury got the bet...

Re: Hurling Relegation play off

Be a pleasant and ironic change for Nordies to be spending some money down here also.... :P Those nordie boys wouldn't spend Christmas :D I always thought the hill was great and somewhat unique but in fairness with health and safety way over the top the way it is we had little choice. But its payin...

Re: Fields- Good and Bad

I agree fully. Clonbullogue is a disaster of a pitch. The game should have been penciled in for Walsh Island, Daingean or Ballinagar. Fair enough Clonbullogue is only a couple of miles from both clubs but I dont think either team would mind a few extra miles travel for the sake of a good pitch. The ...

Fair play to Cribbin

He has been re-appointed as expected and I've new respect for the guy. He seems to have an idea of where we are at, what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it. Here he recognises what Kildare have had to do to get where they are http://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-football/cribbin-focused-...

Re: Relegation/Promotion

Typical GAA madness. Hers the thing with this......Yes Antrim have been allowed into the Leinster for 3 years. However the understanding is that if they finish bottom of the pile this year then they will still be in Leinster next year but will not have access to the Qualifiers. It happened Westmeath...

Re: Offaly .v. Cork - SHC Round 1 Qualifier - 4th/July/2009

The amount of ball that Offaly won against Curran and O'Hailpin was a real surprise......we caught more clean ball than they did which was the first time in years we have come out breaking even or on top under the high ball. There are some positives. As for lads dismissing the whole fitness issue we...
