Re: Mother claims GAA ‘bullying’ her child
Clubs do need to wake up now and look at possible amalgamations in order to become more professional and offer a better set up for potential to flourish, there is too much opportunity for stagnation in my opinion. Get Real. I think you would find lad that if the county board offered such opportunit...

Re: 2014 O'Byrne Cup
To be fair to the county board, the underage has improved drastically in the last couple of years and the signs are showing that we are going to be quite competitive if managed correctly going forward. Offaly would be one of the favourites to win a minor in the next 2 years and Paschal Kellaghan ha...

In fairness, they turned up for the first game only for the generator to give out in Pollagh. Lights cut out 3 times! There was only a point in it a few mins into the second half.

Square Ball
Have I been misinformed or has the square ball rule been removed from open play? (only counts from a dead ball)

Ha Ha. I take it you have absolutely no interest in football at all.allstar2010 wrote:How are K/K in the semi of the IFC, is football that bad in the county that a team that doesn't even bother train, turns up for the games and could be senior next year??

Re: RTE commentary
Agree with you, Carney is brutal to listen to, Kevin Mc Stay should be there. He speaks sense and not from the heart. He is a Mayo man but I think hes capable of unbiased opinions. Carney sounds even worse when paired with Marty, who is too fond of giving his opinion rather than doing his job.

Re: Brolly and his rant
Bord na Mona man Of course his sneaky act was not as bad as the sneak punch by Conor Gormley. As in a number of games I saw Tyrone play Gormley got in his punch and as usual escaped scott free. Tyrone are expert at these things ( Donegal copied and possibly got even better at it) so hopefully Mayo ...

Re: SFC Qualifier Draw - Offaly vs Tyrone
Well said True Red, But wasnt this the same thing we were talking about at the end of last year? (And perhaps the year before). The aims; Get out of division 4? They/we got out of it, not too many good performances though (not in Tullamore anyway). It seems we play better away from O'Connor park. Pu...

Its not cheating to take all the advantages you can.... ask Kilkenny. This "playing on the edge" is cheating in that case.

David Egan was taken off early in the second half.It was announced over the P.A system that it was a normal subsititution, he was then brought back on for a different player than the one he replaced and again this was announced as a normal substitution on the P.A system.I didnt count the number of ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Trials
I feel I'm going to spoil this thread by making a serious observation, but anyway.... I went down to Ferbane on the Sunday morning - to be honest it wasn't anything you could get excited about. I think there were 20 players in attendance? They played a game but it was fairly shapeless, and really i...
